Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum in overall sense is appreciable as it ensures the learning and practice of the topics effectively and efficiently. The timings of exams depends on the marks like for 40 marks it's 1.5 hrs and 100 marks 3 hrs

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 115600 per year

Internships Opportunities

For stipend companies like Google, Microsoft , Wipro , Tcs , etc provide wide ranges stipend internships and all ranging online to offline and different time slots and different durations in general for students

Placement Experience

In general students become elegible for campus placement in 7th semester most of cases a variety of company like TCS, Wipro etc visits A number of students get Campus placement avg package was around 8 lpa and max 40 lpa and lowest 2.8 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for one session is comparatively low than other colleges. The fees for BTech first year is 115600 and for fee waiver 6000 only and 1000 rs for id card additionally and other than it no charges are there . There are various types of scholarship some are govt scholarship available.

Campus Life

GCH or Galgotias Creators Hackathon is tech fest of GCET. UNIFEST is a fest held every year around Feb to March. Aarambh is the Freshers Party fest . There are variety of clubs for every intersts like coding, editing, gaming,cultural, etc

Admission

I applied to GL Bajaj and NIET in Greater Noida only I got confirmed seat in NIET for BTech CSE but I preferred GCET over it due to various academic and curriculum related factors the cutoff for GL Bajaj went hight a bit and couldn't get confirmed seat

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is at par and the relationship between the students and faculty holds transparency and contains no fear and there are 3 exams held per semester in order to improve the students

Interview Experience

No written test for admission was given as I got enrolled for this college throught AKTU Counselling sessions with my JEE MAINS RANK. Addmission criteria for direct admission involves a good percentage of marks in board exams

Night Life

Cafeteria is very affordable and aesthetic in all orders with proper place. My famous hangout place is Hungry Nights cafe around girls in campus hostel, night safety is very high students roam around in campus freely

Placement Experience:

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Unfiltered review and reality of My College

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.

Galgotias College: A college that underwhelms you in every way but never allows you to complaint.

I also applied to its affiliated college galgotias university because I heard about horrors of aktu. But didn't opt for it because the crowd on gu is actually considered really bad. GCET gives admission through UPTAC counselling through aktu. You have to appear for JEE and secure a rank of at least 2 Lakhs if you're from UP and want top CS branches....Read More
