- The college infrastructure is very well developed. All the classes have smart boards and ACs . The labs have all the instruments and there are specific spaces alloted to parkings, canteen area, GD area and a big central library.
Dislikes
- The is very strict with the attendence , specially in the 1st year (min. 75% required to sit in exams). The curriculum is rigorous and some subjects are outdated.
- Although the Infrastructure is good, but there is no bus service available which is somewhat problematic for the day scholars.
- Most of the faculty is impressive but some are very rude and strict. Some of them just come and copy their notes without much explaining and are not at all cooperative with the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum consists of 5 theory subjects each semester (EX- Maths, physics,PPS, EVS, EE) and all the subjects have 5 chapters each. The subjects changes every semester and the first year syllabus for all the branches is same. In the successive years the syllabus modifies according to your branch. My branch is CSE-DS where I have to study the topics like DSA, DBMS, DAA, cloud computing , computer networks etc which are relevent for the real-world applications. Some improvments can be made in the course curriculum like old languages (eg-C) should be replaced with the more used languages like C++, Java etc. Also the subjects not related to the specific branch need not be taught to that student. The teachers must also come with real-world examples of the given topic and its usage. Also using technology more comprehensive and modern style of learning should be implemented. The exams occur roughly every 1-1.5 months along with the provision of extra classes based on the performance. The exams have timing slots - 10:00-11:30 or 1:00-2:30 (for 40 marks exam) and 10:00-1:00 or 2:00-5:00 (for 70 marks exam). The internal exam are of moderate level and mostly from pyq;s and class-discussed topics whereas the external exam is lengthy and moderately tough .
Internships Opportunities
The college attracts some companies for interships. Major companies- coding ninja (SDE-intern) stipend-15-20 k JLL (front-end dev intern) stipend-approx 15 k expergo (SDE intern) Codesquadz etc. The students have to make projects on latest tecnologies using frontend, backend, fullstack, mern stack etc for web development and cpp, java , etc for software development. It may be like employee management kiosk, ticketing systems, cyber security, networking etc. the duration of internships vary from 3 months to 7 months depending upon the companies and role .
Placement Experience
The college offers decent placements. There is a seperate placement cell with coordinators and teaching mentors who will help you get placement ready. The students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year (5th semester onwards). List of some companies : CodingNinja, Capgemini, Infosys, Tcs, Maqsoftware, Soprasteria, Accenture, Paytm, Razorpay, Autodesk etc. Number of offers made varied from 1 to even 200(mass recruitment) Highest Package last year- 39 lpa (Autodesk) Average Package- 5 lpa percentage of students getting placed: 80-85% After getting my degree I would try to get a campus placement in a product based company where I can hon my skills and can make my sincere contributions.

The overall experience of my campus life is quite soothing. There are many annual fests and programmes which takes place all around the calender. examples of some fests: Dandiya nights (october) freshers party(november) farewell (march) Concerts(december or january) Internal hackathons(Sept-oct) The central library has a vast resources and all categories of books available for students. Anyone with college ID can get the books issued for a max of 15 days in one term. The sports offered include Cricket, Football , Atheletics , Basketball, Badminton , volley ball etc. Also every year our college players tops the medal charts and earn a lot of medals. There are many social clubs like - Eco club, rotaract club , coding club etc. which regularly organise seminars , competitions , activities for students to encourage their extra-curricular skills.
Admission
I had applied in - GL Bajaj (greater noida) Abes engeneering college(ghaziabad) HMR institute (Delhi) I chose this college based on a comparative analysis of all the parameters (Affordability, Location , Placements, Alumini reviews , campus life etc). This college was relatively affaordable as compared to other colleges which I had applied for. The campus life and vibe of this college is better with more clubs and co-curricular activities. Its loaction is very near to the metro/bus services and has a campus area of about 19 acres. The placements of this college was better than most of the otheer colleges I had applied for. I did not get rejection from any college I had applied in , I just chose this college on the basis of my comparative analysis. ADMISSION PROCESS- 1) Management quota: The admission is based on class XII merit and first come first serve basis. You first have to apply on college website then you recieve a provisional admission letter . After recieving the letter you have to pay rs.25000/- within one week. Then, in july if you get into the provisional merit list , you have to come to the college with all your documents for physical verification and fee payment. 2) UPTAC councelling: The 1st 3 rounds of councelling are only for JEE mains and UP domicile students. The subsequent rounds are for XII MERIT/ CUET/ JEE MAINS. The cutoff for btech cse for general category in jee mains is about 80-85%ile. Most of the students (85%) are from councelling and rest 15% from management quota. The overall admission process is lengthy with a long list of documents required at the time of admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 1 is to 50. Most of the professors are easily approachable and encourages students to have all their doubts cleared. Some of the faculty are really impressive (for eg- Dr. Nitesh Kr Singh, Dr. Virendra ) and their teaching style is very student-friendly and approachable. Course Structure- Each semester consists of 5 subjects Each subject consists of 5 units The labs are considered separately and their exams are separately taken by aktu Exam system:- 1.Internal Exams- CAE-1 (40 marks) syllabus-2 units CAE-2 (40 marks) syllabus- Next 2 units PUT (70 marks) full syllabus 2. External exams- AKTU semester end exams-70 marks (full syllabus) The internal exams are of moderate level and mostly comes from the pyq's and class discussed topics. The external exam is from moderate to tough level . Around 10-15% of the students fails to clear the exams and have to complete the backlogs in next years exam. The course curriculum is same for all branches in 1st year and has a mix of relevent and non-relevent courses. Some of the syllabus is outdated and not in use.

Other Applied Colleges
G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I didn't opted for this college since its fees was relatively higher than my budget and its campus size was relatively smaller with lesser opportunities for extra co-curricular activities.
ABES Engineering College | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I didn't opted for this college as it became autonomous this year only and was much crowded than other colleges. Also its location was relatively far from my house.
HMR Institute of Technology & Management - [HMRITM] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)
This college was having relatively lower ratings for academics and placements and was comparatively newer than others. Also it was little far from my house in a remote area
