IIIT Jabalpur in a "Text Snap".

Interdisciplinary course was the reason I chose this discipline.Labs are somewhat industry ready,but need to build projects and get interns on your own.Course wont get you job ready.Teaching methods should be made practical based and not just theoretical concepts.

Placement scenario is good if you check the college website.Companies visiting the college is around 100 every year(+-30 percent).Recession did have some effect but it's getting better.My discipline has somewhat average placements.So,if you want to pursue GATE or M.B.A,begin it by the end of 3rd year or so for better ranks.Higher studies is always an option and seniors/alumni have cracked competitive exams.So,it's not like there's no career options ahead.

Fee structure-1 Lakh each semester(Academic fees/Tuition fees) Hostel Fee-11000 each sem. Scholarship-MCM(Based on Merit-Top 5% students from each discipline-C.P.I based) Single Parent Scholarship Scholarship for SC/ST students Various state and central scholarships.Notified by the Institute through mail.

Campus life is good as mentioned earlier.Many co-curricular activities,clubs are there to shape your overall personality.Good sports facilities and there are fests,hackathons and a lot going here.You wont be disappointed if you compare.

Hostel facilities are above average.You get cool waters during summers.for hot waters you have Geysers to take bath.To drink warm fluids you have canteens and personal kettles for which you have to take care by yourself and keep it out of reach of Caretakers.

I chose it because of it's beautiful campus,a better alumini experience,placement capabilities and a freedom to pursue the branch you like.Also,it has an affordable fee structure and a nice,simple and peaceful campus and city.

Faculty members are friendly during class hours.After class,it's not easy to interact with them but if you are stringent to get your work done,you wont be disappointed.faculty to student ratio is okayish when compared to other Gov colleges.Liked almost all of the faculties for their knowledge.Best faculties-Yashpal sir,Mamta Anand Ma'am,Sunil Agrawal Sir,Avinash pandey sir,Puneet Tandon Sir and many more.Exams-around 1.5-2 months.Mid sem and End sem.Quizzes start 10-15 days before each mid sem and end sem for every subject.Question level-easy.If you understand what is taught in the class.Course curruculum is revelant but lacks industry ready standards.

Cafeterias are present in ample amount and you can easily hangout there.night life is average as the distance from the city is a bit high,so you cannot go and hangout there.But offcourse,you have buses plying between 3pm to 10 pm to and fro each from the campus and city.
