IIITDM Jabalpur inside view from a 3rd year student

My course is Smart Manufacturing it deals with Iot, Iiot, Cpps etc. The course has relevant subjects to make the student industry ready. The course can make more practical rather than bookish. Difficulty of exams is not much but every semester we have two exams mid sem and end sem.

5th semester on wards companies come on campus to provide internships to students. students sit in placements and also internships. though the number of companies coming are very less for internship for 3rd year students but for final year students there are ample amount of companies.

The placemets of IIITDMJ are very good. Students are eligible from 5th semester onwards for on campus placements. Comanies like meesho, Samsung etc had visited our campus this semester. The highest package was of 41 lpa. Around 80% students have been placed from 2021 batch uptil now.

The year wise fees is different for category students and general students. For general students the year wise fees is around 1.8 lakhs and for category students the year wise fee is around 60k. The college does provide scholarship schemes to students who are very good in academics which they say as merit cum based scholarship. Tuition fees for SC/ST/Pwd students is waived but for general students the tuition fees is around 71k. Under MCM scholarship the tuition fees is waived and permonth the students recvieve 1000 rs in their respective bank accounts.

Campus life of IIITDM Jabalpur is okish not good not bad. Fests are there in the campus but on very small scale. There are many clubs in the college where students can go and increase there communicaiton skills with fellow students and learn new things. Clubs like BMC, Dance club, Singing club etc are there in college.

Hostel facilites are good. 1st and 2nd year students get triple sharing rooms 3rd year onwards students are alloted in single rooms which are very good. Every hostel has there canteens which have good collection of foods from snakcs to meals.

During my JEE time I had not got very good ranks so according to my rank this college was best. my college has good sports, infrastructure and placements for that I opt for this college. the admission process is through JOSSA Counselling.

the faculty to student raito is good like there is a faculty on every 7 student. My fav faculties are my branch's HOD named Zahid Ansari Sir, he took control systems course in our 4th semester The faculties which I didnt like are VK gupta sir I personally dont like the way he teach In every semester we have 2 major exams mid sem and end sem

Night life of IIITDM Jabalpur is good. Fresh enviornment is there so walks after dinner are very peacefull. As the college is outside city so there is nothing outside the campus but gym and all other activities are present in the campus only.
