Course Curriculum Overview

4

I want to pursue neet but as a side course i joined this college and did microbiology which will help me during my mbbs too Till now I didn't see real life applications because I dont usually go to college like that But the professor should be more engaging in the class and change soke teaching methods My first semester exam is in feb and my classes started at sept so basically they are taking exams in 5 months and a semester is suppose to be 6 month and exam difficulties level depend on cu paper

Fees and Financial Aid

I have took admission through wpcap so i dont know about each and every half of fees they took 36500 as admission and first sem fees and but they didn't tell anything about the fees which we will be paying in future

Campus Life

3

The college has many workshop, events , freshers because they have 32 departments in the college but in our department till now we didn't had any annual technical festival The library has a large variety of books but i personally dont like reading so i didn't borrow but our library has all kind of books Sports and curriculum activities are major background of our college we also have out own cricket and football tournaments ( inter college) we also accept admission through sports quota No we didn't have any clubs

Admission

I didn't apply for any other colleges but i have chose different subject in asutosh college ( zoology) I have choose this college because my aunt use to study here and heard a lot of good reviews about this college No I was not rejected by any of the college. The admission process was through wbcap admission portal by govt and I got selected first for zoology and then i upgraded and got microbiology

Faculty

3

I exactly doesn't know about the faculty student ratio because in pur department we have 7 subject but the main subject microbiology has 6 teachers for 108 students but they all teach different part of that subject And very honestly i didn't like any of the faculties because they all are quiet same and they doesn't even help the student But i must NB Maam from microbiology department behaves very rudely in the day of my physical verification she ill treated me Exams are according to the cu college don't have any additional exams but yes they took class test which where quiet difficult

Interview Experience

4

There is no interview question just physical verification The admission is through wb cap West Bengal official website There were 4 rounds through that wbcap and the college took admission through the sports quota too

Night Life

4

There is dominos beside our college we often go there to have lunch and also there are lots of street food stalls which we all enjoy I dont know because i dont stay in hostel Inside college we often go to annex library which is full of fun because no one judges there I havent went that area at night so i dont know any safe place

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
