The education facility is perfect as expect before taking admission in this university.
The facility of providing food in the mess is best in our hostel's mess.
The students belonging to locals are good in communication.

Its too far from our home town which is bihar.
My university area is not soo developed as expected.
Transportation system is not good as compared to other district.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the curriculum activity are best and all the games played here are best games. Students come from different different university and take part in these competition veru interestingly. All the activities are best here.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are good in my university. Many types of opportunity comes and goes but it soully depends on the person how much he knows and howuch he has skills to show and apply in the job.

Placement Experience

The placement cell is not soo good, but at least having a good placement offer. Many company come here and pick best students and give them best package as seeing the ability of student and talent too.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee paid is 105400/- Tution fee is 105400/- Im from OBC category, so i have opted for Bihar credit card load as im from Bihar district. My all the fee goes from Bihar Government. The fee of my batchmates are same as of mine.

Campus Life

My campus life is best as compared to my friends. All the people here are good in communication and very cold hearted. I love all my friends here. My social and virtual life both are going good and all thanks to my university.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is best here. All the student are good in the hostel. And timing is free. Means anytime one can goo out and come in. Going outsidd the hostel is not a big issue in my hostel and warden is also good.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I choose this college because first of all this university is government. I had got chance to take admission in private university too but as i had prepared for JEE so i didn't wanted to study in private university.

Faculty

All the faculty member are soo good and soo compromising that every teacher gives good marks in exam. When the time of explainatiin in the university. The explain very nicely everything in detail andarking sceheme is like Once it goes like mid Semester and then at the last we have to give end semester.

Night Life

The campus is safe as compared to other campus. But we shiuld not go out after 9 o clock because jalandhar is not soo safe according to people who say abiut this place. Otherwise it is good to goo out.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Good inetrship provided in any college for students

First of all i went to LPU which is no 1 in punjab ranking, when i visited it my experience was very good and placement was also good but the fees structure of every course was very high like if i talk about BCA then its fee was 180000 which was not right for me, so i did not take admission in LPU but the college was very good and i also went to geeta university in a panipat and no one knowledge about that college because it was in a remote area and the students there also explained to me that either do not take admission or you will have to pay fine after fine, this college is not good, so i dod not take admission there i did not take it and then i looked at IKGPTU where i am currentlu studying it was a budget college and not to far from my home and the course fees were also reasonnable, so i took admission...Read More
