Likes

The environment of college is good because it is made up of full greenery.
Locality is good as there are lot of food options outside.
Fests are organised very well and they are lively.

Dislikes

Faculties are sometimes not student friendly.
College rushes to complete every semester.
There are no proper benches and chairs in classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is bit overpacked as we have to rush always to complete tasks or assignments. Some courses are not even related to the subject we have taken, they have simply dumped into our curriculum and they've missed lot of important courses for us.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are going good in my college. From 6th semester students become eligible for placements, there are lot of top companies have been to college. Highest package is 56LPA in an Japan Company and average salary is 7LPA. There is around 100% of placement in our college. My plans are to do job for 2years and plan for masters

Fees and Financial Aid

I've got my seat through Kcet so my fees is 1,20,000 every year in that tuition fee is 84,000, skill lab fee is 20,000, examination fee is 5,500 and another 10,500 is for development fee and University fee.

Campus Life

There is a good campus life with sports and fests. Namely two fests are conducted every year one is Vibrations and other is Furore. There is a big Library where lot of books are available to study. There are lot of clubs which you can join and enjoy campus life. But college lags with facilities in campus.

Admission

I actually applied for RV college of engineering, BMS College of Engineering, MS Ramaiah College and PES, but I couldn't secure seat there because of my KCET rank and according to my rank I got seat in Dayananda Sagar college of engineering. I choose this college because it is one of the top college in Bangalore and there are good placements in this college. Admission process is simple you can get into college through KCET, COMEDK, DSAT or Management quota but the fee varies for each quota. Lot of students prefer to join through KCET.

Faculty

Faculties are of mixed kind like some are student friendly and some are not. When it comes to exam structure for our batch we had 3 internals every semester and finally one semester end. Internals are for 50 marks each and semester exam is for 100marks.

Night Life

There is no much night around or in my campus. But at the fest times it is good at night in college as they conduct concerts and DJ'S. Campus timings are 9am to 5pm Hostel timings are 8am to 9pm My favourite spot in college is amphitheatre and around campus is season's cafe.

Google, Amazon, Microsoft and basically all than FANG companies are our top recruitment members. Microsoft though tops the chart and their Bangalore wing has majority students from MIT Manipal. As we are taught to deliver for them and our students have delivered for them time and again.

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem the students will be eligible for campus placements Companies Infosys ,Tata ,Samsung, Mercedes ,Bosch, Many more etc. Highest package was given at 6.5 lakhs And the average package will come around 3 lakhs . It's like 50 : 50 ratio where you'll get 50% of them will qualify for the placements and 50% will not qualify replacements. I just want to do Masters after my degree.

Before there was no placement but now it's improved a lot there is a company named ethnotech that came to our clg to teach us skills they have bought good company for placement and many students placed with a good package like 4 lpa to 6 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.

I choose this college because of the location and the placements. The college is 45 years old and has a good connection in the industry. The placements are also decent. The location of the college is really beautiful. One will find all the necessities near and around the college itself. I didn't perform well in my jee examinations, but my comedk exam went well, so I came to this college.
