Course Curriculum Overview

3

I always want to go in research field and this course is fully research based so i take this course. I am enrolled in integrated M.Sc. physics but i can also leave it after 3 year and get a B.Sc. hons physics degree and then i can continue my studies in other institute. The main issue in my college is it's university. University do not hire new and experienced teachers while they engage our good teachers in other activities. The mid sem exam happens in third or fourth month and sem exam will go up to 6th month of the semester

Internships Opportunities

4

There no direct internship opportunity available in first 4 year we have to do a 6 months project in 9th semester. Students can apply for external internships and project (research project) such as NIUS and FAST and ao on. Currently i am doing project under NIUS program

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees approx 8000 (including tution fee, admission fee and all) Scholarship Monthly 5000 Sem exam fees approx 1200 Fully residential (hostel fees approx per year + mess fees 2400 per month) You can take admission only thought admission test. (Entrance exam registration fees 10000)

Campus Life

3

No such events organised by university although in our college we do cbs fest and other small activities like teachers day celebration and all. I this university some conference and workshops held in deferent departments.

Hostel Facilities

4

Separate hostels for girls and boys. As i told in last section that our college/department is fully residential hence all students enrolled in cbs (centre for Basic Sciences) get hostel. Meal quality is fair not so bad. Menu is decided by students. 3 students share each room. They all get one bed, one chair one table and one cupboard. Washrooms are clean.

Admission

I have applied and also selected for various college including nit raipur and bhi varanasi but at that time i got enrolled in this college so i continue my studies here and next thing is financial conditions. To entry in this college your have to give an entrance exam called cbsest. Center for Basic Sciences entrance screening test. Exam fees is 1000 rs. And competition is not so tough. Approx 2000-4000 students appears and 40 of them selected . 20 from pcm and 20 from pcb. There is additional 20 seat called payment seat. For them no scholarship policy and they have to pay some amount every semester.

Faculty

2

The faculty to students ration is too small. Although relationship with students are good but Permanant faculty were engaged by university on other work and they do not get time to teach. Some faculty are good but some are so bad in teaching. Total two exam in a semester. Mid sem (40 marks ) and end sem of 40 marks. Both will be considered on result. And 20 marks on internal assessment

Night Life

3

This university became deserted after 6:00 pm in winter season and after 8:00 pm in summer. Library and university cafe open till 8:00pm. Generally the classes end up at 6:00 pm and after that Students ised to go outside chai stalls and chaupati. Gym is here without trainer with minimum fee of 100 rs. Yearly. Student can go outside the university for hanouts. Although their are gaurd present inside the campus but it is not safe at all. The hostel gate closing time for girls is 7:00pm and for boys is 10:30 pm I am rating for boys. Fir girls it may 2 star

I chose this college because this college provide us good infrastructure, good faculties and it is situated at the good place. College lack in preapring curriculum for real-world applications for further pursuits. But they are trying to improve their curriculum from new session. our classes starts from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Improvement is needed in placement area and company approaches on campus .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
