Remarks

It is the best choice to opt NIE, if one needs the best technical and cultured education. The only improvement can be done is that the college can use websites and portals to announce the students result. They still follow the method of announcing it on notice board of respective department.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is always updated for 2-3 years. The new things in the engineering field are regularly added to the syllabus so that the students always get to know about the updated technology. The course is completed within the time and up to date. There is nothing like skipping the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

Our college indirectly provide the internship through many center of excellence. There are many COE on automobile, robotic, pneumatics, could ordinate metrology, CNC where the students get exposure to practical hands on experience.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are too good for CS and IS branches. It is average for mechanical but very high when compared to many other colleges. Several good companies like Mercedes Benz, Robert BOSCH, Continental, TTK Prestige, Toyota, TVS, Eveready, CISCO, HP, Dell etc visit the college regularly.

College Events

4

Many events will be held in our college as it is TEQUIP 3 funded. There will be regular seminars by experts, workshops for faculty, GATE coaching for students, industrial visits and so on. In the month of March there will be the college fest named 'TECHNIEKS'.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is so feasible. It is nearly 10000-15000 from college with respective CET/ COMEDK/ management quota fees. The SNQ students pay 5000 ?, aided seats cost nearly 12000 and unaided seats cost nearly 40000.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship option for the highest scorer in each year in respective branches. Also there is a scholarship facility for economically backward students and socially backward students. College supports MHRD scholarship for students.

Campus Life

4

Labs are too good and updated. There are sperate Labs for automation, foundary, lathe, Automobile etc. There will be intercollegiate and intra college sports being supported and conducted. There is a sports indoor auditorium for shuttle and table tennis, also outdoor ground for basket ball, volleyball and others. There frequent cultural events going on which could bring up student talent. There are also the clubs like ONYX, SAE, ISHRAE , Robotics, AEROTANTRIX etc which help the students to have practical applied knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

5

There is a sperate hostel facility of boys and girls. Hostel has wifi facility and the food is too good and homely. There is no option for nonvegetarian food and only the vegetarian food is provided. The hostel is secure with security guard of 24 hrs watching. A good play ground, parking facility are provides for students.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an alumni club which helps the students of college about getting connected to the corporate world. There are regular emails generated about the happenings in the club.Students get information about higher studies and jobs through this network. It is proud to say that Sir Infosys Narayana murthy is our beloved alumni.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is as follows - 1) 50% internals and 50% Sem end exam is considered for total SGPA. 2) There are 3 internals every Sem out of which best 2 are considered. 3) Evaluations are made in 2 stages. In first stage it is done by lecturers and in the second stage it is reviewed by the senior faculty in respective subjects. 4) There is an option of re evaluation and make up exams.

Admission

My CET rank was 1802. From previous year's list I analysed that I would surely get admission at NIE, in mechanical engineering stream. I didn't wait for the second round and my admission was made in the first round itself as I had chosen the college with firm decision and belief. My admission was made in the college after the verifications of all the documents. There were 4 counters where the admissions were going on.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the lecturers in our college are IIT graduates, specially in mechanical stream. They teach so well and also they guide the students about the projects and paper submissions. The faculty members are so enthusiastic that students get the interest when they teach. Junior faculty are hired only after they complete their masters.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.
