Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because it was my dream to become a nursing officer from king George medical university. Clinical exposure to all department helps us improving our Clinical skills. I think the college should more focus on sports events. In each year we have to give 2 semester where give 2-3 exams in every sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i have paid in 34600 rupees. The tuition fees, developmental fees, lab fees, and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category is total 34600 rupees. The fees of my batchmates from general category is 40600. Scholarship is provided from the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Campus Life

4

Annually Kgmu celebrate the annual fest name Rhapsody which is celebrated in September-october month. Variety of books for all students in our central library which we absolutely free. Smart boards, well equipped labs are available for students. Our dont much focus on sports events. No any clubs or groups are available in college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Facilities available in room are almirah table and bed with 2 switch. There is variety in menu and meal quality is moderate. We have to fill hostel form during admission time. I've not rented a room or pg

Admission

I also applied for other colleges like RML lucknow but i get admission in best college so i decided to stay in king george medical university. No i dont get any rejection from any other college. Firstly ýou must be 12th passed and then appear for UP CNET Exam where you have score atleast 150 marks to get admission in king George medical university.

Faculty

3

The student to faculty ratio is adequate. Most of the teachers are approachable. All the faculties are nice and approachable. I can't say any faculty whom i don't like. There are 3 exams in each semester which are moderately difficult. Students usually clear the exams. Course curriculum is relevant.

Night Life

4

Yes cafeteria or library is available in college. But no gym is available for students. OLD VL HOSTEL is for girls and closing time is 10 pm. Near our hostel there is Saraswari lawn where we roam around.

Placement Experience:

The campus doesnt provide placements. Though sgpgi conducts its own test for vacancy of nursing. If you had studied from here chances are there youd get selected here inly and start doing job henceforth earning. I mean which institute doesn't prefer its own child. The students become illegible to give exam at the end of 4th year though there has been instances when people have cleared exam but couldnt join as degree process is late. Therefore its necessary to understand you can only join the job when you've the degree in hand. Mistly students who study here 5%-10% get job here itself. Rest of people get in other government hospitals. But its safe to say they all are earnibg good and are in government job. My plan after the degree is to possible join somewhee as tutor and side by side hustling for MSc for better pay scale and job perspectives. The bright side of this course is either you can go in clinical field or you can join as tutor. The sakary of nurse here in sgpgi is 1 lakh per month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Job opportunities is so high after completion of the course. Curriculum strongly focuses on skill development of the students that will help them to achieve different milestones. There should be less no. of assignment in the curriculum and teaching method should be more interactive. There are 2 mid term exams and 1 semester exam in every 6 months. Exams are not that difficult.

The course is a medical course so yaa i wanted to learn about human so opted for it .It's alike MBBS but a bit easy than that .we have subject specialities like Medical surgical ,Obs gynae,Pediatrics ,Community etc like mbbs only but we need to learn them in duration of 3.5 yrs then we have internship of 6 months. Curriculum is maintained but need to be more realistic as some things are outdated. The subjects we learn are patient centred only as we have to be there for them ,provide care to them and treat them .everthing we read in classes we apply and co relate in our clinical.postings for better learning and experience

Choosing this course was my own decision but after joining it helped me to indulge more in it. It prepares us to face many major and minor critical conditions regarding human beings. Teaching method is usually based on faculty we get. But ours is the best and they examine us in every one month on the basis of some lengthy exams and some shorts exminations.
