- Teacher give a lot of assignment and the schedule is packed
- 80 percent Attendance is mandatory in college
- If you are fail in one subject, no supplementary exam is available, you have to give exam with junior batch
Course Curriculum Overview
Nursing course is very good course and focuses on development of skill in students to provide good care to patient. The course focus more on assignments and internal marks. The exams occur semester wise in 6 months. Difficulty is moderate in exams.
Internships Opportunities
We have no company hiring process. But we have internship in 8th semester of 6 months which is unpaid. After completion we get our registration from university and after that we can apply for any hospital and nursing competition exam and do job.

Campus Life
All the festivals like Holi in February, 26 january, saraswati pooja, diwali, ambedkar jayanti ane celebrated in university. We have a central library which has 1000's of books and journals. The classroom are equipped with projector, Black and white board, speaker, microphone, AC. Sports day and annual cultural fest is celebrated every year.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is provided for both boys or girls. For boys hostel is in nearby area KHADRA TG CAMPUS. For girls hostel is in campus area with more security and camera. The mess food is very good, the menu is different from Sunday to Monday with non veg on 4 days week, the mess charge is 60rs per meal means if you are eating in evening and night you will have 2 meal or 120rs a day without morning breakfast or evening snacks. Canteen is also available near hostel. For girls the facility is same but the mess fess is little less.
Admission
I applied in up cnet exam which gives admission in all government nursing college in uttar pradesh. KGMU is the top college in uttar pradesh and the first perferance for all students. I can get admission in all college because of 29 rank in the UpCnet but I preferred kgmu because of its reputation. To get admission in kgmu nursing you have to give UpCnet exam and in which you should be in top 200 ranking with marks above 160(total marks is 200).
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is 30:1, the faculty is approachable but they try to not involve in student matters. Sessional exam every 6 month 7 semester in total and the 8th semester is internship. The exams are moderate. Maximum students pass the exam. The curriculum emphasize on overall development of child.
Night Life
Gym is not available in college but you can join gym outside campus. The boys hostel has no timing you can roam in Lucknow even in late night also. Girls hostel has strict rules, no men or boy is allowed and hostel close at 10 pm and opens at 5 am. The locality is safe nearby. Most preferable place to hangout is hazratganj. Mall, threater, park and zoo are available in nearby.
