My Experience at University of Allahabad

i think B,com program here focuses more on rote learning and has limited practical applications they teach basics of finance , business law, economics, stats etc and campus placements rarely happens that another issue also university should focus more on practical learning and not just academic and they should now teach about fintech as well

Annual fees in AU was around 1300 rupees and total price of 3 year was around 4000 rupees and initially you need to submit 2000 rupees during admission as registration fees, every other fee or charges are include in fees and hostel student needs to pay separately also for reserved category student fees is half and economically weaker section student get scholarship of around 5000 rupees yearly

overall experience was good here, and they celebrated all major festivals in the campus of all religion, and all kinds of books and literature were accessible to us through central library, also there was computer labs as well, allahabad university is famous for its sports activities and has given many top atheletes who represent uttar pradesh, you can play all sports like cricket, football, tennis, hockey etc. also there is regular elections here so all minor activities and and social groups are manged by students themselves like organizing cultural fest, inviting guest etc

i choose this college as it was in my hometown and i did not apply to other colleges as I wanted to pursue B.com from my hometown, also Allahabd university has rich heritage and has given 9 prime ministers to the country and innumerable civil servants that was also the factor as far as the admission process is concerned, there is an admission test and once you clear that then you can take admission after registration process is done successfully

B com is 3 year course, now there is semesters when I joined exams were concducted yearly but now it has 6 semesters, as far as faculty is concerned Prof AK Mukherjee and Pradeep jain sir stands aprt as they listen to your questions and explain things in simple way, but usually classes are taken by assistant professors who are less knowledgeable and marking scheme is really tough as in my batch only 9 people go more that 60%

nighlife is not good here and around 9 PM everything is quiet here, and streets are empty and also hostel rules are really strict, though few caffes are there which you can visit but its nothing life colleges like DU or Mumbai university
