Vidyavati Mukand Lal Post Graduate College for Women, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh came into action by the efforts made by Seth Shri Jai Prakash Ji under the ‘Vidya Kendra’ society. Vidyavati Mukand Lal Post Graduate College for Women has been provided with an ‘A’ grade certificate in 2004 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi and was awarded with the title of ‘College of Potential with excellence’ by University Grants Commission in the year 2007. The College has been appreciated by universities from across the country for supporting women education.

2. Infrastructure Facilities-

The women’s post graduate college supports the knowledge enhancement process of the graduate students by providing for e-teaching classrooms, digital library stocking around 25,000 books supported by DELNET softwares, a Research Centre, multi-purpose halls equipped with audio-visual facilities, high-tech laboratories, conference halls, open auditoriums, cafeteria, power generator and hostel facility accommodating up to 80 students.

3. Student Progression Initiatives-

The College came up with student welfare board, anti-ragging cell, poor fund and freeships cell, NCC and NSS and student guidance and counseling cell for the overall development of the students.

Points to consider before taking admission in Vidyavati Mukandlal Girls College for BSc Home Science

Admission:

I really want that the admission process should take place on the basis of not only merit but also the entrance exam. It's because many students are enrolled for the course but they aren't good enough for the course. Because Bsc home science is a vast subject which covers different fields but many students take it for granted and don't study at all, which in turn leads to wastage of parents money. I prefer the entrance exam for the selection of students so that their caliber is tested.

Admission:

I chose to attend this college because it is highly reputed girls college in Ghaziabad. Moreover, i wanted to pursue for bachelors degree in home science so this college was my topmost choice because of its facilities. My school teacher had suggested me this college for higher studies. The good aspect of this college is that it is only for girls college so every girl can aquire higher studies as their parents won't have a problem there because of no boys. I like that uniform is compulsory in this college so that there is no discrimination between rich and poor, this can be a negative aspect for few because for them college = freedom. The admission process is simple as it is based on merit. The admission for new session starts from august to september. I searched more about this college from collegedekho.com website.
