SOME of thr batchmates and few of the faculties
Workshops that are conducted throughout the year

Some if the faculties are extremely discriminative

Course Curriculum Overview

I was fascinated by architecture and took as a passion but the college didnt apeal to me much at first But i was taken aback by the college life here which i saw through instagram Thr college can vastly improve by improving student faculty relationship and integrating software skills as part of teaching curriculum

Class Size: 39Course Fees: INR 1150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 115000 yearly and they keep 100000 as caution fees. All thr kther fees such as development fees, lab fees etc are included, For management fee structure the fees is 215000 There are scholarships which reduce the fee amount by a substantial level though i do not know the details

Campus Life

There are many programs that are conducted throughout the year but the annual program is called 600 and is celebrated at october There there is our cultural programs known as DAKSHA Then thereis our footbal tournament knon as CPL Then as a new addition there is our cricket leauge known as CCL Then every year miscellaneous programs are conducted such as during halloween,diwali,valentine's etcc

Admission

I aplied to NIT and CET but didnt get in because of my negligence of submittinf the necessary documents For admission into CAT you need to take biomaths or computer science as 11th 12th majors Then you need to take NATA exam and publish your maths, physics, chemistry and NATA marks on keam site for CAT

Faculty

The college provides 1 mentor per 12-13 students Some of the faculties seem approachable but some of them are highly discriminative I dont like charudathan and krishnan potti because they are highly discriminative

Night Life

Cheriyakonni, puliyarakonam have most pgs and we hangout at kadamb hills ,ayiravalli river ,chechikada in thinavila, The hostel comses at 7pm The locality is not safe for girls as there are many creepy ppl around

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

This colleges have a good opinion on the basis of architects. Along them a good talk on this college. NATA exam was the entry exam for this college. I have opted for the nearby colleges. There were so many college nearby my place like Bishop Jerome Nagar , TKM PRVT and TKM GVNT. But i wanted to live atleast not in my native district.
