What Students Say

Likes

There is a class of freedom to express and is easy to mingle as it is a small community.
There is no requirement of uniform or a dress code except when for exams, we have to wear formals
Everyone gets to know everyone through various clubs

Dislikes

Number of students are too low for occasions
The course is a huge barrier for extra curricular activities
Canteen is in a very small scale including seating and items

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very interesting and fun to learn as well as it is very hectic. Design subject and other theory subjects are hard to work on simultaneously. The submissions and work teaches a lot about time management tho.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 195000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees paid for management seats is 195000 and the year wise fees for merit seats. The bus fees I pay is 32000 for 15km one trip. Extra money will be used for projects and stationary for assignments.

Campus Life

There are various clubs in the college but seems to have very little students for everything. To conduct programs as well as participate in it. The clubs could use more support from the college in the form of help and infrastructure development.

Admission

I chose this college as it was in my hometown itself. There is a 15km distance from my house. But college bus is provided. This college has a small community and is located in a remote area. So there are many restrictions of it

Faculty

Most of the faculties are nice to the students. They are considerate and helpful for assignments. They teach well to study. Few might tease and pull your leg a bit too much. Students do fail exams. But can pass them easily if effort is put

Night Life

There is little to none of nightlife in this colleges as it is a remote area. The men's hostel and women's hostel are separated by a distance about one kilometre. Inside the hostel it must be fun to work and play together with mates.

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

I aplied to NIT and CET but didnt get in because of my negligence of submittinf the necessary documents For admission into CAT you need to take biomaths or computer science as 11th 12th majors Then you need to take NATA exam and publish your maths, physics, chemistry and NATA marks on keam site for CAT...Read More

I have opted for the nearby colleges. There were so many college nearby my place like Bishop Jerome Nagar , TKM PRVT and TKM GVNT. But i wanted to live atleast not in my native district.
