Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about my degree and curriculum its very relevant with skills like critical thinking, sustainability, effective communication, advanced Excel, co creation, guest lectures and even the subjects are interesting and provide a present world approach. This comprehensive curriculum only led me to choose this degree as it aligned with my future goals in public policy. The exams aren't that difficult provided you study a bit
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies like Deloitte, Microsoft etc and other big companies come to MIT and every year recruit students, not just this numerous multi national companies like OCED come here for internship opportunities in various areas of current importance
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internships right from the second semester, they are a compulsory thing that offers 6 credits in the last year as the college lays great emphasis on experience and work profile building. Frequently internship opportunities are sent to us through emails and almost all degrees provide an avg placement of 6 lakhs including mine.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per year is 1.15lakhs for all 4 years, it doesn't increase and is paid in 2 installments. The college however provides 2 scholarships based and 10th and 12th percentages and entrance test scores. They offer upto 100% scholarship
Campus Life
Numerous clubs and their events will never bore you out, you'll always find some club that aligns to you and your interests. Flashmobs and different workshops, events are a part of daily life, they make the cowrd lively, help you develop skills and just make your college life wholesome
Hostel Facilities
The college provides accomodation to students with different hotels for boys and girls and travelling facilities, with double, triple occupancy, AC rooms, mess and meals. The pricing range is from 3-2.4 lakhs a year. Though some of the hostels are out sourced and in a shabby condition But it's easy to find pgs private hostels or flats near and around the college
Admission
This college just stood out because of its curriculum and it's course structure. Other than that it has the campus of dreams, the greenary, mountains and everything is just lovely to be around. The crowd is a mix honestly you just will have to find your people Good surroundings and good food
Faculty
So my degree is a 4 year programme, provides various courses that help us learn present century skills across semesters. The college follows a credit system, allocated to each semester and a minimum to pass each sem. Each subject is given a few credits wherein 15hrs of teaching is 1 credit and other university courses are also there. So each sem it's like this CCA 1- small test/ presentation Mid term- 30 makes CCA 2 - 15 makes End sem - 40 marks This is our examination system Faculties are nice and helpful.
Interview Experience
I had to write an SOP, thereafter an interview based on my SOP, selection of the course and necessary skills etc Though the college has an eligibility criteria that you have to get atleast 60% in your 12th form a recognised board
Night Life
The nightlife around the campus is just warm and nice, with students just being out to eat with friends, it's peaceful and safe, though clubs are nowhere around the campus and even the campus follows no smoke policy, you can find clubs a little away from the college.
