A sneak peek into the reality of engineering colleges

The specific aspect was the software and technology knowledge that made me choose this course. The curriculum prepares you for the corporate world well enough but the key part if definitely working on yourself.

Most of the major companies offer internship opportunities in our college. There are internships to help you learn what you job would entail. The stipend may be less than you expectations but worth the experience and learnings.

From 8 semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are a lot of companies that visits our college namely Apple, Tisco, Jp morgan, Bosche and a lot of other well established mncs. The highest package usually is between 60 to 70 lakhs while the average package is somewhere between 10 to 12 lakhs. Majorly 60 percent of students get placed. My plans after getting the degree is definitely seeing myself working in a nice technology company

I paid a total of around 3lakhs lakhs for my admission and 1st year fees. The tuition fees is around 625000 The caution fee is 5000 The registration admission development lab fees in total makes up for approximately 50thousand. This is the fee for a general student who have an annual family income above 5lakhs There are various reductions in tuition fees as per your category and family income. There also are a few scholarship opportunities available from the college that can be applied and availed however i haven't applied for any so my total expense for 4year course would be approximately 8lakhs

The biggest annual fests of our college is Aarohan and REcstacy that takes place in the months of jan to april. The library is very big with two floors and all kinds of books available. The classrooms are big with mic and sound systems along with working acs.

The hostel rooms are livable and is cleaned regularly. The washrooms are good except for bathrooms which are mostly clogged. There is no ac facility however small wattage coolers in summers are allowed.

My goal to be honest was IIT but i couldn't get into it because of my own self. Had i prepared a little well i would definitely have landed myself in a better college. But being realistic what you earn and what you learn depends more on yourself instead of any institute or curriculum. There are a lot of good engineering colleges in india to get into. The admission process is long and hassling. It takes months to get a seat in a college and after clearing jee with a good percentile. The cutoffs nowadays are going up becuase of the increasing competition so its going to get tougher to land a good seat in a good college of your preferred branch

The faculty is diverse from ranging between really helpful and understanding professors to rude ones. The curriculum and the syllabus is good compared to other colleges And the exam system is not very bad too

The nightlife is quite. The hostel intime is 11.30 but there is freedom to roam inside campus even after that. The locality is safe but there is not a lot to roam around the campus except for a mall in 1 km distance.
