Course Curriculum Overview

4

The University teaches you some additional subjects which you can opt for like Public Speaking Skills and Buissness Handling. This may help you if you want to be an active speaker and it very much will help you in the future. For computer science, the college will just introduce you to C and DSA and many other programming launguages but you need to work on yourself to improve your skills.

Placement Experience

1

No campus placement is offered here sadly. I haven't thought of my plans till now, I'm thinking of giving GATE exam soon so its basically that all. If we hope in near future, recuiters would come here one day.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year is divided into two semesters. Each semester, you'll have to pay a fee of 45k rupees. Thats around 100k for a year. Then there is transportation fee, the highest amount you will be paying for that is 2400 rupees, it's judged upon the distance of your location to the University. I pay 2.2k for it and I live about 50KMs away from college. There is no hostel provided by the college but there are hostels which are provided by the thrid party (not college side), they are few blocks away from the college, you can say 500m or 1KM at most, they take about 10k per month. There is no canteen fee, there are shops outside the canteen which are just like departmental stores and you just pick and pay. This is for at least, if you're pursuing Bachelors in Computer Science.

Campus Life

4

Recently they have held functions on Indian festivals like Onam and Divali. They also conducted a fair too where many people got involved. In Library, there is a wide amount of books which you can read from, mostly there are computer books available but there are novels too. Student even run their clubs in the campus, and I'm one of them. They hold events like CTFs and Spot the phish events too

Admission

I just applied to CUK and NIT, CUK was just my backup option incase if I didn't got into NIT. I got rejected from NIT because I didn't met the eligibility of 12th marks, I had 74.8% (75% was needed) The admission process was through JEE and 12th marks, the last cutoff was 40 percentile of year 2024.

Faculty

4

The students can approch the faculty through their offices. Most of the faculty can be approched and they do help the students. They keep healthy relationships and call out students if they need help. People like Mr. Afaq (Assistant Professor of CSE dept) and Tufail (Dean of CSE dept) keep saying to reach out for them and ask if there are any problems or any help is needed. I kinda don't want to mention the faculties I didn't liked, but I hope they will be good someday. There are a total of three exams. CIA I, CIA II, ESE CIA consists of 15 marks and ESE consists of 50 marks. The exams are pretty much easy if you learn through notes. You have a chance to pass even without studying the whole syllabus.

Night Life

1

The nightlife in the college is just lonely, there are no hostels nearby the college and its situated 1KM away. There are Cafes nearby but they are closed since nobody goes there at the night. It would be safe to roam around the night because you wouldn't find anyone there.

I have interest in physics so I choose bsc in physics as major subject.. As mathematics is quite related with physics so I choose it as a minor subject.. There are two phases of exams and in these phases there is a lot of time to prepare for the exams.. However teachers method of teaching was quite friendly and soft spoken ..

Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
