Course Curriculum Overview

2

First impression of any college is their physical appearance, it was literally very worst. In this biotechnology course there should be more practical work than theory but there we study only theories so university have to focus on practical work

Internships Opportunities

4

In final year our university send students for the internship in different cities and these internships are about of 12 credits so it is very important for every students. Most of our seniors was sent to jamia delhi, aligarh muslim university and some of the IITs for completing their internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission there is a admission fees of approximately 11,000 after that each semester fees is 5,500. Scholarship on tution fees is provided for the students whose annual income is as follow:- Less than 120000 :- 100%Scholarship Less than 250000 :- 50% scholarship These scholarships are only applicable on tution fees.

Campus Life

3

There is no extra curricular activities for students of life science department, our campus have no sports opportunity there is no any fest or party like things. So there students are stucked in a narrow range of options and they only study there nothing else hopefully it will be provided to the students after the transfer of life science department to the main campus

Hostel Facilities

3

There is a hostel provided which is 3.5km away from the campus so most of the students do not opt for the hostel including me. We live in rented room there there is about 5000 is charged per month for a room. We can share these rooms with two to three people. Even teachers haven't given any accommodation facility.

Admission

There are many better options than centeral university of Kashmir such as jamia millia islamia, Hyderabad University , DU they provide all basic facilities to their students and their locations are also for better to this

Faculty

4

There is about 10 to 15 teaching staffs available in our department. All of them are too supportive and helpful for their students in every aspects. There are 2 CIAs per semester and after that final exam is conducted there is 30% waitage of both CIAs and 50% waitage of end semester. rest of the marks is given for presentation assignments and all.

Night Life

1

As per I have mentioned above life science department is in a village in which there is only two to shops are available which can fulfill the basic needs only. So there is no option for night outs. There is a town 5 km away from the campus where we can join gym. Our campus have no gym facility.

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
