Course Curriculum Overview
First aspect was because I was allotted this course as well as the high scope for the Civil Engineering department in the North Eastern States. The curriculum is highly relevant and real world applicable because of the lab and field work required to be done as per the course instructions. Areas for improvements in the Course includes introducing of more intensive and effective online teaching methods. The frequency and timing of exams is quite good with a highly course relevant questions and with a widely acceptable difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
There are various paid and unpaid internship opportunities offered by AICTE as well as various companies loke Microsoft etc., in Data Management, AIML, web design, department centred etc and with a good stipend after being qualified from the free courses and projects. All the projects are provided by the course mentors or by the companies.
Placement Experience
The student become eligible for the placements from the 7th semester. There are various national, international and PSU companies offering job opportunities with Microsoft, TATA, GOOGLE, Vedanta Limited, HCL, to name a few. Highest package offeres is 80LPA offered to a student from Computer Science department from Amazon Company with a whopping average package of 50-60LPA every year and 60% of overall students getting placed 20-25% opting out for further studies and the remaining not being placed. I plan on pursuing further studies and getting enrollment in research programs.

Campus Life
There are 2 main festival organised by the Institute namely Cognitia and Shishir usually held in the months of October and April respectively. The library is highly equipped with books, journal, Thesis, articles and online materials providing a wide variety of knowledge and educational opportunities. The Institute offers various clubs for the sports and extracurricular activities such as art and culture, department related, and other activities. Most of the club excluding the department related are usually student-run which includes anti-ragging and anti-drug communities facilitating a positive environment at the Institute.
Hostel Facilities
The Institute is residential and hence the rented room and PGs is not accepted unless for very serious reason with proper permission from the Head of the Institute. The hostel rooms are well equipped with all of the needed facilities from 24/7 electricity, water, Wifi and other facilities. The registration process is quite simple as it simply requires to fill up the hostel form while admission for the semester and as compared to the fees taken there is nothing worth complaining for except the well known fact that the hostel food is not as good as you would get at home or restaurant but not totally bad. It's worth mentioning that the meal quality is accepted and is good as compared to many other hostels or PGs.
Admission
I didn't apply to any other college as I was solely focused in the present college. The admission process is quite long and rigorous with the main eligibility is passing the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) with required percentile and then enrollment in JOSAA/CSAB for getting enrolled in the college and later doing the needful for the admission in the college. Admission process is quite smooth if you already get enrolled.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is like 1:20-25, as per the total students present in the Institute with actual ratio varying every year with new recruitsand admission. The faculties however are very approachable and helpful with good mentorship quality. Some of my most likes faculty includes Dr. L. Patton and Dr. Hriday Mani Kalita due to their very good mentorship qualities personally for me. No one as such whom I don't like as there is no reason for me to dislike them. As for the exam there are 2 main exams with monthly tests and assignment/projects for the class related topics.
Night Life
Usually the campus is free to roam at any time qith a gate closing time at 10:00 pm after which students are not allowed to go out of the campus however it's allowed to hangout inside the campus any time . The campus as well as the locality is very isolated providing a safe environment to hangout and roam around at night . The Gym, cafeteria and libraries are usually open till the gate closing time .
