360 degree review of my college

As i tell you my course is mechanical engineering So first of all I choose this course bcoz I have the interest in machines designing and in this course all my interest are covered so this course only The curriculum prepare us for the real world because in our college there are huge workshos for performing of our real life practical's which we do with the help of our course study and with help of faculties The teaching methods are some like old one which are followed by all over in India I want to suggest that teach us with the help of smart classes integrating some videos and images for our better understanding The exams are divided along the semester starting from class test1 to end term examination Basically the while theme is like that First class test 1 Then mid term Then class test 2 And then finally end term examination College provide enough interval btw all the exams

Yes placement's are there because it's a NIT From 3rd semester you are eligibile to apply for internship and from 7 sem you are also eligible for campus placements Many companies visit our campus for the placements some famous names of coma pansies are adobe amazon flipkart Mahindra infosys tata black rock etc and the no of offers made differ each year but the average of offers remains 150plus Highest package of our college is 51 LPA Which is bagged by a cs girl this year from Amazon and the average package also differ by the branches but for mechanics and cs branch a the average package is as good as 10LPA Percentage of students greeting placed is very good for the mechanical and cs branch like 95% placements are there and for others branches also 70% placements is there So placements is not a big issue in this college ???? My plans are simple Mai have to maintains a good ointer to be eligible for campus placements and get a good job and settle in life

The yearly fee which I paid is 2 lac 23 thousand (111500 each semester )as I m a general student having the income category more than 5Lac income category As of now the only scholarship is given in nits is only on basis of their family income Means if income is less than 1Lakh of the family the whole tutuon is waived off ie 62500 rupee and only the hostel fee is taken which is ?49000 (?25000 mess fee also included) And other ?24000 is of other charges like hostels seat rent which is ?7500 and water and electricity charges (?2500) and other rupee include all the things of college like library,internet,laboratory etc Now if the income of any student family is between 1 lac to 5Lac the tutuon fee is waived only 2/3 (2/3 of ?62500 is waived off) and the student is only needed to pay remaining fee with hostel fee which I describe above. Now if I divide the fee according to categories of student like sc st Then all the sc st students are not required to pay any tutuon fee irrespective of their family income Beside this there are scholarship which college tell us time to time to apply but that all are for sc st students none of them is for general students

First of all the overall experience of my college on the basis of campus life is vet much good There are two feat that held in our college one is cultural fest (Shishir) held in march and other one is Cognitia our technical fest held in November The library is so good all the teaching material is available any time you can go read in library or you can get a book issued for yourself to study in hostel The classes are equipped with smart board and proper lecture halls are there for our study All latest facility are there for us Sports part you can play anything ranging from carrom to football here Means there are facility you can play indoor or outdoor game according to your mood Clubs are there and many clubs are there run by the student in collaboration with college Some clubs are Dance and music club Literature club Astronomy club Robotics club Coding club Student especially juniors are encouraged by seniors to take part in these clubs as there are competition held in our cognitia btw these clubs So all the things are there for your personality development

We are provided hostels by the college only and there are all facility which are required by any student including chair table wardrobe bed curtains locker everything Now the meal comes This is the part where our college lacks because they provide us meal but it is not up to the mark for our health so we have to depend on the cafeterias for our food Means the food is normal it can be eaten but no so good The dinner is only good ???? Registration process for our hostel had been taken on the day of admission of our in the college

So as I tell this a government college particularly NIT so admission in this is done by giving a exam called JEE which is conducted by NTA twice in a year most commonly in January and April So after getting a good percentile in this JEE exam you are all ready for conselling done by JOSSA and CSAB Admission are done in these college according to your percentile and All India ranks The eligibility for this exam is you need to be 12 th pass with any recognised Baoard with 75% Cutoff for this exam you can find on inemternet as this a very popular exams given by 15Lac student every year and only 50thouasand student able to get seat So in counselling you have to fill colleges of tour choice and the counselling system allot you a college according to your performance in JEE exam I have fill some other nits like NIT GOA NIT JAIPUR NIT HAMIRPUR NIT NAGPUR but these are the college I didn't get because of my rank in jee exam All went that wrong is my preparation for the exam ???? So I was allotted this college only and I choose this because this college is located in hill area and I just love it hilly areas

The Facuty members are all good and very approchable and very helpful also The teacher to student ratio is very good like 1:15 Basically I like all my faculties so there is no need to mention which I like them most all are same to me bcoz all are very kind and helpful till yet Now come the examination part It is also same here as like that happen in other colleges also around India In our each semester Two class test One mid term examination And one end term examination take place along with the practical's of some subjects Now come the examination hardness It is normal as it as come same like our faculties taught us about the subject and it is very scoring paper of you only prepare the faculties materials properly As of now in my class no one is fail Course curriculum is up to date according to NEP policy 2020

Gyms are there different for boys and girls man's cafeterias are also there for our refreshments And inside the campus there is no closing time so you can Roam around the campus freely in night The hostel timing are there but only for first year students to prevent them from senior interaction timings are 9 pm for boys and 8 pm for girls There are many places around our campus to hangout outside one famous one is Seven Sister fall As considering the locality we do not need to go outside as our campus is so big (300acre) and all the basic amenities are there for us Btw the locality is not so safe so we are taught not to go outside in night alone
