Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think the course curriculum is well thought out. It is on the same path with most of the engineering colleges in India and AICTE. The course curriculum is quite impressive due to the online availability of lectures, assignments and preparation tests. In our college, it's also mandatory to have 75% attendance and monthly examinations. We are provided with a well-structured syllabus at the beginning of each semester, which really helps us to complete our study. In our college, there is a different type of class along with the traditional type class it is called flip class you can search it on Google. In this class there only 10 tables and each table has three chairs, so three students make a group. So basically in this type of classes students become teachers. So in this class teacher will upload some contents on the internet on some specific topic, students have to come prepared in the class and do group discussion within their group and they had to present the topic in front of the class and have to solve some problems. There will be daily evaluation based on your performance in these classes. You also have to upload your digital contents on the internet. Teachers will evaluate students by these points Evaluate base on the digital content 1. Overall digital content 2. Flow of digital content 3. Quality 4. Understanding of the digital content 5. Balance of digital content Evaluate base on the flipped class:- 6. Group discussion 7. Negotiation skills 8. Leadership qualities 9. Aptitude 10. Attitude (in digital content preparation). I think the exam structure is ok but where other colleges have only one internal exam, we have two Internal exams. So it gets pretty hectic in the last month because we have to appear for the Internal as well as semester exam back to back while maintaining the attendance. Per semester 2 internal exams are held and laboratory examination also held at the end of the semester session. Of course, Engineering is not so easy that I can chill out. Making a tough decision does require strong. This is the mantra for our study. Frequent classes, Laboratory experiment makes our mind sharper.

Placement Experience

3

76%of JISIANS are placed while the rest of the % of students are either pursuing higher studies. Tata Consultancy Services, Mahindra tech, L&T, Tata steel, Finolex, Google, Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Mindtree, there are the mass recruiters which gives many placements for our betterment. Our college also provides extra classes for the preparation of placement drives. I am already placed in a well-reputed company which is TCS. Yes, our college gives internship for masters candidates. General stipend starts from 5000 and overall experience must be there for any internships.

College Events

3.5

Tech fest is celebrated, it is called JisTech. In the tech fest, a group of student can perform their own given task and it is mandatory that each experiment must be explained on Foundation day. A celebration is held in our college which is known as foundation day. On this day our college was established so JISIANS celebrate this day as a memorable day. Other cultural events are also celebrated in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For each department fees are the same. The fee structure is semester-based. We have to pay the fees every 6 months. My college fees are around 42,000 to 43,000 per semester. Sum amount of four lacs six thousand is the current fees structure for JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING.

Fees and Financial Aid

Pradhan Mantri yuva yojana is a scholarship that is being provided in our college. Students who score good marks in subjects are mainly offered this scholarship loans are also available. You can take any student loan if you want and some students also have a TFW, which means tuition fee weaver. A loan facility is not offered by the college but the college will provide you with the documents through which you can get a loan easily.

Campus Life

3

In extracurricular activities, we have to do some NPTEL course every semester like soft skill and personality development, app development, IoT and other things, which are very exciting. The college will also encourage you to do an internship, do some training or course and take part in various tech fest in our college and other colleges. We have sports and international conferences. There are many clubs in our college. You can join any of them Like Science Club, Robotics Club, Photography & trekking club, many more others varieties.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, we have a huge alumni network. Our seniors from different countries and working in reputed companies always help us by sharing their experience. Seniors are most helpful besides teachers they help us to succeed without the fear of examinations. They help us to recover if we ever forget our path. They are the main leaders for our good guidance.

Admission

I appeared in JEE Main and WBJEE exam. I secured 10,000 ranks on the WBJEE exam, then I appeared in the MAKAUT counselling for joining B.Tech course and based on my rank I got two-three colleges, I chose this one. Then based on my rank and 12th marks I got admission to this college. Besides, it is an autonomous college.

Faculty

3.5

I think the most important part of any college is its faculty members. Not only study-related problems they will also help you with personal problems. They also helped us with project-related problems. Each department consists of well-trained teachers with good teaching skills. Every individual teacher holds a special class for extra problems faced by students. All the teachers feel joyful to teach us. I am really very thankful to study at this college.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
