Course Curriculum Overview

4

Oh the exposure we get on field is much more educative than in the class. The rural camp, tribal visit and the fieldworks has given me a lot of exposure both personally and professionally. Most of the things that we are taught in class has to be performed or applied in the field, which makes us more educated. But in the beginning everything was pretty hard to e figured out but I got the hang of it. And the mentors are most likely willing to help and assist.

Internships Opportunities

4

Till date I haven't heard about any internships with stipend given from my department but there is from other departments. But the exposure I got in these 5 internships I've took part in is really great.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year I paid around Rs.71,050(Tution fee was Rs.30,000 / Eligibility feebwas Rs.10,000 / Other fees Rs.25,500 / Non- Karnataka fees Rs.5,550). In the Second year I paid Rs.64,000( Tution fees was Rs.30,000 / Language- Introduction Kannada Rs. 1000 / Other fees was Rs.29,000 / Rural Camp fee Rs. 4000). In the third year I paid Rs.68,000 ( tution fees rs. 44,100 / Other fees Rs.18,900 / Tribal Visit fee Rs.5000) And there are scholar ship schemes available in the university like magis scholar ship(includes mid day meal program), management scholarship etc.

Campus Life

3

I'm not inside the campus much. But I used to be pretty much involved in my first year. And the campus life is also kinda okay. I've got friends in almost all depts because of the socialising skill I've got from the course. The student portal had some problems last year but they have updated it now.

Admission

This college had an interview to be passed before getting in. And also the college provide exposure and there is no ragging in his university. The college is also well reputed. And if you really want to study, you can study here.

Faculty

4

We have enough mentors in our department. And I'm sure that most of the mentors and students know each other. It's like everybody in the department knows each other. So there is a okay relationship there. Some teachers do have partiality but it's not that bad. Some of the mentors are the best. when compared to other departments, the social work dept faculty members are more easier to communicate with. They are much more humane.

Night Life

3

There is night class for student from 4pm to 9pm. The library is open till then. And about the night life outside the campus is kinda okay. I won't be able to say it's amazing but it's nice. There's few cafe like shops like h and c. And now they have opened 2 to 3 new restaurants in the area. The place will be popular and the night life will become more qualitative in the upcoming years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course material is quite accurate to what we are supposed to study and know. I'd say it's a little bit outdated but its still very much needed for social workers. The course has helped a lot of us change as people as well.

I chose this course because I liked the subject social and I like doing social activities and being social. I knew that this is what's best for me. All the faculties of my course and we'll educated and they teach the subjects well. First semester exams were online and the term exams were offline, it was a bit tough because the classes till then were online and for me personally online classes were tough because I won't be able to concentrate. But now since offline has started it's better for me.
