Course Curriculum Overview

4

I rate it 8/10 as it foundational and higly relavant focusing mainly on medical practices Thorough Understanding of all the 19 subjects helps us to manifest and handle the clinical cases much easily and finer improvement in Teaching method is to teach and cover the whole syllabus in a concise manner

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure for KoIMS is 60000 Bus fees -12000 Hostel fees ( including caution deposit and room rent ) - 10000 + 9000 Registration fees -1000 Admission fees - 1600( to university) Admission fees - 500 ( to college) Sports and library fees - 3000 College Caution deposit - 1000 Digital library fees - 3500 Cultural activity fees - 1500 And for ourbatchmates fees is same for all OBC and general students And fees still less for Sc and St students Obc students get 55000 as scholarship Sc and St students may get nearly 1 lakh General students get 20000

Campus Life

3

Annual fest is held in month of April usually after the completion of the graduates internship ( No name it is changed year wise eg,Utkarsha was name for 2023 -2024 Kannada rajyotsava is held yearly in month of November ( name was Gandhadhvani in 2024 ) The books are vastly availbale in library and easily accessible through the library card provided by the college in the beginning The classrooms has projectors in which they teach the classes through the slides No sports and cultural activitis in the campus Student run hostel mess,no social clubs

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are not good and congested rooms which is very diffucult to be shared by three members . They give us a study table and bed for each person meal quality is 7/10 and good at this cost Registration is normal as usual during college registration no pg rented it is govt aided hostel

Admission

This college has good enviroment and nature around it so I chooses this college I have applied almost 7 colleges like 1. Brims Bidar 2. Gims ,gulbarga 3 .Kims Hubli 4.Bims ,belagavi 5.KoIMS,Madikeri 6.ESIC ,Gulbarga 7.Mims mandya among all these I was alloted to Brims Bidar and ESIC gulbarga but I was wanted to join gims gulbarga under state qouta I rejected Esic gulbarga because fees is high almsot 50000 more than normal college and patient inload is low compared to normal govt hospital The admission process is exam conductedby NTA known as NEET UG and KEA does all the admission process for colleges in Karnataka Eligiblity is based on the cutoff given by KEA authority

Faculty

3

The faculty is vey good and little bit ok The faculty to student ratio is very less Some teachers approach students very smoothly and nicely . I like Dr swaroopa ,Associate professor ,Department of anatomy Dr delson ,Pg,Department of anatomy Dr padmaja Kulkarni ,Head of Department ,patholgy Dr manjunath,Head professor ,Department of orthopedics Dr manjunath ,head professor ,Department of biochemistry I didn't like Dr mamatha ,Department of Anatomy I didn't like Dr Ravi kishan ,Department of physiology There are total 3 internals in a year ( conducted by college )and A final exam conducted by RGUHS university Difficulty goes on increasing and Final exam is best exam ever... Nearly 50 % of class strentgh fail to pass internals and and hardly 2-3 fail to clear final exam conducted by RGUHS Mbbs is much relevant as it helps us to learn through clinically based and patient exposure is much important in MBBS we get patient exposure through Clinical postings

Night Life

4

Actually we don't have nightlife because the college gate is closed at 8:00 pm itself yes our college has gym but it is not sufficuent for many members ,we have Reena canteen and nandinin canteen , Hostel timings for boys is 11 and for girls is 8 The campus closing time is 8:00 pm Hangout places are Abbey falls ,mandalpatti, raja seat garden ,rainbow hotel, bekachi cafe, bamboo hotel ... Locality is not safe to roam around night

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.
