AKGEC honest review by 2nd year student

My course is Btech which is quite popular and have a wide range of oppurtunities in less amount of time . The curriculum includes everthing from personality developement to skill developements and there are labs also whicg we can take part in to learn extra from the course after paying a specific amount . The improvement area needed is the currilculum could be quite modern like including topics like ML and AI more as the industry demands it. In the semester of 5-6 months we regularly give exams almost every 1.5 month gap which is quite tiring but the difficulty is not that high so its is managable not a field to worry about..

Honestly college doesnt provide that much internship oppurtunities, the students themselves find many But there are labs of mini internship projects in 2nd year and projects in 3 and 4th year also there are internship mentorship programmes.

For the campus placement u can apply from 7th semester which is 4th year. The companies like Infoysys, accenture hires a number of students and the comapanies visited are 250 -300 varying every year. More than 90 percent students gets placed from the campus .. The highest package till now is 1crore 13 lacs and the average package is 5.33 laks recently. After getting the degree my plans is to stick to my job and prepare for the masters.

Fee structure for CSE kept changing every year ,like mine was 120256 in my first year and now it is 119256 in the second year of my course and for upcoming year it may vary between the two or more than that.. Registration fee: 1500 Tution fee: 111256 Total : 119256 There is no such differtiablity according to the categories but there is a fee waiver scheme ,the students that are coming from fee waiver quota will have to pay lesser amount that is 41014. No such scholarship are provided by college but u can apply for UP government scholarship and Pragati scholarship(for girls).

There is no fests happen in AKGEC but there are other events like Freshers, diwali fair ,book fair, farewell, vyomini(for girls). The library is huge and have books of almost every variety u can easily take and return any book .Library accesssibilty is really nice. Facilties are fully provided except the AC but now ACs are also being implemented in the classrooms .every classroom have smart board ,mic,nice furniture,good ventilation etc. There are a lot of socities and club for almost everything cultural,coding,formula cars, robotics,drone,value education and others..AKGEC is really good on extra curriculars for the developement of students

Hostels are quite costly and doesnt have any ACs but the infrastructure is really good.But my experience as a girl hosteler was bad there is okayish food strict timings ,you have to cleans your room,fans by yourself ,no proper hot water in winters ,wardens are very harsh ..not a good hostel life i would say.. the nearest pg are 2-3 km faraway and if u want a flat there are a lot of options in good socities like mahagun estates,wave city,golf links etc. you can apply for hostel manually during the time of admissions ,number of boys hostel are less but there are enough room in girls hostel.

I had applied for other colleges also but some of them i didn't get into because like In MSIT i wasn't from delhi so i didnt get the benefit and lost my seat beacause of a few marks and in private colleges from AKTU AKGEC stands no.2 after JSS so thats why i chose this college. The admission process here is kind od simple u have to apply for the councelling of AKTU and have to give JEE examination but if u didnt appeared for JEE then dont worry this college take admission based on 12th PCM percentage also.

The faculty to student ratio is 254:4633 which is nice because as i have seen we have different faculties for different sections of each branch and every faculty takes charge of 2-3 classes so its not that bad. I liked almost all my faculties and some of my favourtes are MRS TANU GUPTA (for COA),MR. SUNIL KUMAR(for DS) and others beacuse they are really supportive in other things like contests , attendence ,college level competions and also doesn't create unneccessary pressure on students. The best faculties are of IT department in whole college also mechanical ones re good. There is no such faculty i dont like but faculty of CSE deparment is quite strict and students generally dont like them because they are strict with attendence and other studious things. There are mainly three exams that are sessional test -1 and 2, pre university test, and the sem ends also university test.. enough students fails in STs thats not a big deal but 2-3 in a class have any backs in finals ina a particular subjects no such Semester back cases happens regularly.The level of exam is absolutely normalnot hard not very easy but you can score well with 1 week prepration. our course is designed by university which i find quite well maintained semester wise u will study everything on correct time.

There is not a good surrounding nearby every hanging spot is around 3-5 Km away from college because the college is on the highway .And it is not safe to hang around the night specially for girls .The famous is raj nagar extension ,noida delhi are also at good distance. Hostel timings are 5 pm for girls and 10 pm for boys and 8 pm for the campus .
