Course Curriculum Overview
As a bca student, I believe the course is relevant, 3-4 subjects are directly related to computer/technology, few subjects have both theory and practical exams and some personality development or managemental subject is also added for students. The subjects like physics and chemistry are not taught which I believe is a good thing, the student gets to learn more application based subjects.
Placement Experience
The placement is the major factor students choose MSI, it provides good placement opportunity for most of the courses, companies organise placement drives frequently. All types of companies take students, even from other countries like japan. Although competition is tough, but the college surely provides a chance to get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the whole course is approx 3 lakhs, 1 lakh per year for the students that got the admission on merit. Those who had to get admission with management quota may have to pay 4-5 lakhs extra, which makes the total fees upto 7-8 lakhs. Students under EWS category may need to pay less fees.
Campus Life
The social life is a low point of our college, the cultural events are not well supported, sports event rarely happen, the college closes strictly at 5:30pm so nothing happens like dandiya night etc., the societies are dormant and the college mainly focuses on studies only.
Admission
I chose this college as at the time it was the number 1 college in Delhi for bca according to ratings, the strong point was placement, the idea of getting placed through college while pursuing the degree is what attracted me to this college, I believed btech was too hard for me and bsc was not giving placements, so I opted for the option in the middle.
Faculty
The faculty is well qualified, mentor meetings happen frequently to listen to students grieviences. Few faculties are hard to approach but most are helpful. Exams are held timely, especially after the impacts of Covid have worn out, everything happens as per schedule most of the time, the exams are not too difficult, there is room for everyone to pass, however students still fail sometimes but it does not require alot of effort to clear the exams.
Night Life
There is no nightlife for the college, the college is evacuated strictly at 5:30 pm, even during events, there are things to do around the college as it is located in a good area in janakpuri. Cafes, shops, malls etc. are present nearby.
