Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is not as advanced and for a few subjects like Cyber security I feel it's outdated as they have very old techniques. In the sense of real-world preparation, there are subjects like the Technical Proficiency Efficiency Course (TPEC) wherein that will help.

Placement Experience

3

You are eligible to sit for placements from the 6th semester that is 3rd year. A few recent placements would consists of companies like Archer and Bull(4.5 LPA) ,Infosys(3.6 LPA) ,Azentio(10 LPA) , Aarbee Structures (21k per month)

Fees and Financial Aid

I enrolled through SNQ quota through CET wherein if your income is lower than 2.5 lakh per year you have to pay only 38510rs per year. Initially when I enrolled for the first year an additional of 10,000rs was taken as the fees for lab, books, etc. Those enrolled through CET but with any SNQ quota pay around 1,25,000rs. The college itself provides scholarships for those who are really in need of it covering their tuition fees.

Campus Life

4

Annual a few called Vidyuth is held. There are more than 40 student clubs in college but only around 10 to 15 are active. But the clubs which are active are conducted well and frequently. The classes are equipped with lecture recording cameras and also projectors. The sports department recently came back to life and it is doing well and supporting student who participate and play in tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facility is quite good wherein there is room cleaning done everyday by the staff. Each room has 3 beds and an attached bathroom. Food is also quite good and non veg (chicken) is provided twice in a week. Its fees is around 85000.

Admission

I had applied to NIE and SJCE both in Mysore but I couldn't get into an IT department during CET selection and chose VVCE. Admission to VVCE can be done through CET, COMEDK or through Mangement all having different fee structures.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good and manageable. They are quite friendly and not many very strict faculties are present. There are 3 internals and one final semester exam. All the 3 internal marks will considered and there is no option to write only two.

Night Life

3

The college is usually silent during night as there is nothing much to do except for the Open Source Club which is open and accessible to its members 24/7. The gym is well equipped and the fees is only 2000rs for 4 years.

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
