What Students Say
Likes
- Campus is very big and you will enjoy exploring it, Classrooms are neat with AC. Building is very nice with lift and so far but enough for just 2 year batches.
- Students are from all over the India and even overseas you'll definitely make friends and I have made lots. Seniors are mostly friendly no sign of abuse or bullying yet.
- Computer labs are fitted with latest desktops with heavy processors and are big too. Whole Campus have wifi facility. Others labs are also well equipped with latest equipments.
Dislikes
- Very low ratio of girls about 10 : 1. And at that most are in electronics and ECE branch.
- Canteen isn't good, prices are low (30 Rupee) for a full plate meal but low quality and canteen is usually crowded and dirty
- Management is the worst doing every work slowly will cause you huge amount of inconvenience and headache for small works. Used to give time table one hour before the timing of class.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our Disciplinary Course are very great and aligns with our field of study and branch. From the second year it is completely focused on deep learning and application. We also have lots of practical subjects. Curriculum is well suited for the beach we have chosen and prepares for the real world applications by projects, assignments and practical exams. There could be some improvement in the teaching methods rather than just lectures and superficial knowledge it would be better to show us how to do it otherwise we get dependent on the ChatGPT and other sources. Frequency of exams are 2 Months. First mid term and then End term. Semester are of 4 - 5 months maximum. From my perspective exam was very hard if you are lacking the strong base and understanding of the subjects.

Campus Life
Specifically in College there were no fest yet but there was a fresher party for the kar year students not for us though but fear not it's DU campus life is Great, We have fest in DU colleges all the time most are open for us and believe me there are lots aaj year around and our college do Organize lots of tech talks and guidance session with famous personalities. Science Library is good with old book collections to new books and computers there too and latest. All kinds of books, journals and all but mostly science related. There have been many groups made by students but all are in the budding phases as they are new but sports community shines. Students run a website for all the study materials of all the year and branch to avail there. We have Gym facilities (great gym : 250 rupees) and sports stadium ( which doesn't allow us to play there only tournaments).
Admission
I only applied in this college because of its 90% fee waiver scheme and I couldn't afford other college fees and chances in other college were slim in accordance with my rank. I didn't applied in other colleges because didn't did well enough in mains and wasn't confident enough. Admission is through seperated portal of DU BTech admission on the basis of JEE mains score, registration starts around End of April and ends by end of May. Cutoff have been low compared to other government colleges so far. Worth it if you just want a good college under budget and low rank.
Faculty
In our CSE Branch we have about 85 students we have mainly 5 faculty and other branches are almost same. All the faculty are approachable but only few students have managed to bond so far. Some faculty are strict like Electrical Professor who talks only about his subject and his lecture. Some are lenient like Maths professor when you are late. I liked my Electrical Professor Arjun Tyagi as he is very dedicated to teaching. He is one of the best faculty. I disliked no one but some were strict like our lab instructor, who will scold for coming late but was good if you have good reason though. There were mid term exams and class assessment test for Internal marks and then End term exams. Exams were mostly difficult and need thorough understanding and deep knowledge and several students failed last year ( more than 10 approx). Course curriculum is good and relevant except additional subjects which seems to be irrelevant but are interesting like EVS and Finance.
Night Life
My favourites are library, calm and romantic vibe; Outside of Astrophysics department best hangout spot as usually peaceful and empty. We eat our lunch there; and ofcourse the buddha park best place for small picnic or lunch we feast sunlight there. Without all this boring breaks will tire me out. Night life is quiet around the campus but lively outside as nearby are lots of pg and hostel, lots of enjoyment there and some cafes are open 24/7. At night you can visit lots of places like India gate with your friends. No hostel yet so need to go to pg or flat ( pg are very costly here) Campus is usually open haven't seen closed even at 6 O clock morning and 9 O clock night. Gym is morning 7 - 10:30 and evening 4 - 8. Library timming 8 morning - 6 evening. Famous places are faculty of arts, library and budhha park. At night road outside of campus is pitch dark so not suggested to roam around but police van are usually roaming all the time and inside campus is good.
