- Calm amd silent campus which makes everyone to study properly witjout any disturbances.
- Teaching was friendly and it makes everyone easy to understand manner.
- Exams will conduncted in three times for a year as internal exams. It makes easy for university examination.
Dislikes
- During internship, students are Wearing colourdress. Intsead make it as scrub.
- College ground is not completely good, make it better will attract students during their free time.
- Boys hostel is good. But it is attached to college.. Making it separate a good way.
Course Curriculum Overview
Soevific asoects of the curriculum that influenced me to decide doing Pharmd program is, in our country there is lot of prescribing errors and dispensing errors making patient life more danger. In my point of view. PharmD is an bridge between Prescriber and patient. The pharmd curriculum established by india(PCI) is not good. Because it is almost same as Bpharm curriculum. The areas for improving the course curriculum and teaching methods are to include subjects like general medicine, General Prescribing guidelines to make the pharmd as prescribing doctors and to enhance the deep into the medicine.
Internships Opportunities
Internship program for 1 year done in pushpagiri medical college including ward rounds, seminar presentatation, counselling,. Surgery posting is also there. Project for pharmd done in therir fifth year, Clerkship also done in fifthe year based on daily ward rounds for 6 months.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees paid is 1,90,000 per year and Hostel fee 66,000 per year. 25 seats for merit and 5 seats for NRI quota. Caution deposit is 5000 Rs and extra charges will paid for lab, uniform, exam fee, projects.
Campus Life
Onam program, christmas program, Sports program, Arts festival, All kerala championship conducted every year. A well established library also in college.College students union are also run in college to make the students needs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel for boys and girls are available in the campus itself. Biys hostel is congested, because it is in the college building.. Meal qyality very poor. Registration process for hostel acconodation done at the admission time
Admission
I choose pushpagiri because of better oatient care and also get good experience. Now i currently working in general medicine department here we review the patient chart and identifying any drug ibteration or errors happend and suggest appropriate methods to reduce them. The admission procedure will be based of Plus 2 score. The student score more than 95% in kerala syllabus and more 85% in CBSE or ICSE
Faculty
Faculty student relation was very nice and friendly. And teaching also good. One of the advantage in my college we have experienced teaching faculty with PhD. In a year 3 internal exams should be conducted for PharmD
Night Life
Thers is no night life enjoyable in my campus. The outing for girls and boys in different days. Also outing time upto 6:30 pm. The students must enter the campus before 6:30 pm. Otherwise it makes a huge problen for students
