Remarks

The best thing in our college was that was a perfect place to study. and we will not know that we were studied all the chapters that our teachers taught us, because of the viva, every days in the practical sessions. May be we performed very bad in viva first time, our teachers insist us to study the particular chapter then only they let us go from the lab. May be that will be the answer how I got good marks in all my public exams.

Entrance Preview

Higher secondary examination. It was a rank system made by DME (Directorate of medical education Kerala) According to the ranks we can select colleges. Rank which is calculated with the scored marks in higher secondary education.

Internships Opportunities

No. Our college was not giving any scholarship at that time. and they dont have any training process also as practical like dispensing medicines in the IP and OP pharmacies.

Placement Experience

2.5

As far as the pharmacy colleges are concerned there are no any placements directly from the college. But after the academic studies students should go for 3-month training from approved hospital pharmacies, once the student completed the training, he/she can go for Kerala state pharmacy council registration. After successful registration of his/her license number, he/she can work as a registered pharmacist in any retail pharmacy or any hospital pharmacy as a pharmacist. the job availability as of now is very high for a registered pharmacist. with a salary range of 10000 per month.

College Events

1

We will be celebrating all freshers day, all religious festivals like Onam, Christmas and Ramzan. The main celebration will be for Onam. All of our college department will participate like Pharmacy college, Nursing college, Dental college and Medical college. That will be very nice experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

All the colleges ( Apart from Government colleges. Government college will have only merit seats) will have some merit seats and payment seats. if we have good ranks then we can get the merit seats, once all the merit seats finish we can select colleges by paying a bit increased course fee. once that also finish then all colleges will have some NRI seats. that will be having the high fee structure. At the time of my studies, merit seat was around 2000 per year. payment seat is around 20000 per year. NRI seats are about 35000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Our college was not giving any scholarship at that time. and they do not have any training process also as practical like dispensing medicines in the IP and OP pharmacies.

We will be celebrating all freshers day, all religious festivals like Onam, Christmas and Ramzan. The main celebration will be for Onam. All of our college department will participate like Pharmacy college, Nursing college, Dental college and Medical college. That will be very nice experience. When it comes to gender ratios the majority of students will be girls. ( An example of Gender ratio will be 5:1) Boys will be less always.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

At the time of my studies, there is hostel only for female students. and male students are staying outside by their own arrangements. college was not providing any hostels. As per the female students, the food and accommodation were normal. The hostel for female students was very near to hospital, so they can easily come and go back very conveniently.

Alumni/Alumna

We have never conducted any alumni function, In fact never started any alumni network. while studying seniors are very co operative but after that we never contacted that much. May be in future we will be have an alumni function over there in our college.

Exam Structure

In fact, once you got your registration as the pharmacist in a particular state the job for you is very easy. but the time period of studies will be a bit difficult. this course is only a diploma course but you have to study all the topics for a bachelor degree course in pharmacy. Every day student will have one lab's session for all subjects as once in a week. The student will have vivas and practical session every day and will get internal marks as per this practical lab record marks, which is calculated by viva, practical and lab record performance.

Admission

It was a rank system made by DME (Directorate of medical education Kerala) According to the ranks we can select colleges. Rank which is calculated with the scored marks in higher secondary education. The application forms which was collected from DME and applied by filling all the marks especially science group marks, by assessing the marks DME will publish one mark list with ranks. according to that ranks we can choose the colleges starting with government colleges and then private colleges. All the colleges ( Apart from Government colleges. Government college will have only merit seats) will have some merit seats and payment seats. if we have good ranks then we can get the merit seats, once all the merit seats finish the we can select colleges by paying a bit increased course fee. once that also finish then all colleges will have some NRI seats. that will be having high fee structure.
