Campus Life

As we dream and expect our social life in college AAFT Raipur doesn't meet that criteria. As its a new campus which was build in 2019 its not know to the people. We do have a diversity of students among us. It doesn't provide you a flashy college life but provides you with great practical learning , workshops, events and management skills to make you industry perfect. There are 6-7 clubs in our college run and managed by the students of every department . Where students can learn different skills apart from their course in which they are intrested in. We do have good infrastructure in terms of studios and aesthetic setup forr shoots. Every classroom is equiped with projectors , computers , and essential related to their course. For example, students of fine Arts have a room dedicated to paintings only. All the classrooms doesn't have a AC in it but we do have some exceptional cases. Teachers aur provided with laptop to make the learning more easy and fun.

Admission

AAFT UNIVERSITY is known for its industrial relation and practical skills ,industrial exposure and knowledge. For my desired course journalism and mass communication AAFT raipur is the best college in Chhattisgarh for any feild related to media and film were you want to pursue a career. I did applied for the differt colleges it was ITM and DU . For DU i appeared in the CUET examination and i was unable to meet the required criteria for the particular subject that i choose. And for ITM university i did got slected but i choose AAFT over ITM (gwalior) because it was more affordable than ITM university and is near to my hometown . I had to face an interview over a call to get enrolled in the AAFT UNIVERSITY RAIPUR . They also a written exam but i didn't have to appear in it because they considered my CUET makrs for the written examination.

Night Life

1

There is no night life in our campus, currently the hostel is under construction inside the campus accommodation for the students are managed by renting a building which is 2-3kms away from the campus. bus facility with no extra charges is provided by the college to Travel from hostel to college and vice versa . Hostel fees is -8000 per month. The campus is located in Kharora ,Math ,Raipur which is 36km away frommthe Raipur city so there is no nearby place to hangout outside the campus. They dont have any gym or swimming pool in the hostel. The locality isnt safe to roam around in the night. Also the food provided isn't good in terms of and nutritional value. I haven't availed the college hostel facility,I live in a Pg in the city but these are reasons why i haven't availed the hostel facility and also these are the experienced by my friends who live in the hostel and why they have left it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the curriculam, when I was taking admission here, a pdf was mailed to me which consisted of the course and curriculam of the B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication. As I gone through it, I was surprised that the syllabus was up-to-date with the current standards of the media industry. After spending 3 year of my adacemic life here at Amity, I learnt a lot of things, which I personally take advantage of in my professional life. I don't see any update required for the current course and syllabus. Talking about the exams and their frequency, we used to have a mid-term examination and an end-term examination every semester. These examinations were very responsible for our development.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester onwards. Renowned companies such as Dainik Bhaskar and Navbharat Times visit the campus, offering placements to smart and bright students. The average salary offered is 40,000 monthly, with the highest package reaching 7 lakh per annum. The placement rate stands at around 40%. For those not immediately placed, the college provides support for employability. Personally, I plan to pursue further studies or explore internship opportunities to gain practical experience in my field of interest.
