Course Curriculum Overview
Holistic development of a student takes place and many club activities are there along with a good campus life. They follow Bloom's taxonomical last 3 stages for a student's progress. Although the trouble is with continuous hours of lectures that makes a student very tired.
Internships Opportunities
They give opportunity for us in RRCAT, BARC, IIT'S, TIFR, etc. Apart from this we can even apply in foreign countries for project work. Seniors have also worked in PRL, IPR , ISRO,etc. Generally it's non paid internships but the experience is worth and paid internships are also provided but less.
Placement Experience
There is a good range placement offers in our university, mainly it's for software engineers and petroleum engineers, they get placed in ongc, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Highest package offered went up to 18LPA or even more than that.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a very good university for research purpose, and infrastructure if utilised by students, it's really nice. Faculties here are very supportive. Equipments for various fields are provided and this exposure is very beneficial for various scope of careers.
Campus Life
Various club and club activities are there, and it is mainly divided into technical and non technical activities. The technical clubs have robotics, physics activities, rocketry, space exploration, chemical activities,etc. The non technical clubs have management activities involving marketing and all, dance club , music club, cooking club, drama club ,etc are there and it's good social life experience in here.
Admission
Though I was getting admission in government college, it's having placement offers for msc students and they have a huge exposure like XRD,NMR, spectroscopy, UV-vis, etc. They even give an amount back on maintaining cgpa above 6 every semester.
Faculty
Faculties of physics are very supportive for many scope of research wokrs and they themselves are working in research. Msc is 2 year course with 4 semesters each semester with mid and end semester exams , involving internal exams that will make the student to continuously study along with lectures and hands on experiences through practical sessions are given and total of 100 marks each semester is there. Internship and project are there in 2nd year of masters programme.
Night Life
Nightlife is not there , as in general even outside college night life is not there at all. It is very safe for women and crime rate is very less and no alcohol is allowed as in Gujarat it's banned. No pubs and clubs people can get here . Even hostel do not allow students to enter in campus after 9pm.
