Course Curriculum Overview

4

TAT computer science curriculum provides a decent foundation in core computer science subjects like data structures, algorethems, and programming language. it influenced course choice due to its focus on these fundamentals and the availability of electives. however, it need imporvement in practical application, industry alignment, and integration of emerging technologies. Overall:-- while providing a base for studies the curriculum needs updates to better prepare students for real world applications and career demands

Fees and Financial Aid

the year-wise fees structure of our batch i.e 2023 are like for tution fee is 1.40k in which every thing is included of the academy activity and the hostel fees is 85k. if u pay the whole semester and collage fee at together they they gave some disscounts also in which approx 10k gets reduced for the fee when u pay a time for the both semester i.e for 1 year fee of both tution and including hostel and the same fee of out batchmets are also paying that is as ive mentioned in the above the whole computer science bance have almost same fee structure collage also provide scholarship like offered by the state government of adisa, jharkhand, bihar and even the centeral also majority student are from odisha and major or from the outside state i.e jharkhand, bihar, uttar pradesh and etc commig to the amount of scholaship that the students gets. student from odisha in post matric scholarship they gets 20000 to 25000 for the for genral and obc categories and talking about sc st categories they gets almost 50k or somthing it varries upon their parents income other then that talking about jharkhand state candidate they have been provided the ekalyan scholarship which is offered by the government of jharkhand they gets almost 80k if they are dayscholar and if the student stays in campous hostel they they are eligible to get 85k for this scheme is only for obc sc st. general categoeis are not provided with any scholarship form jharkhand. back to the collage fee after the session of 2024 the collage fee have been changed the fee structure. now for the current academy fee is approx 189000 and 89000 for the hostel fee. as compare to other collages fees its quite good affordable in terms of fecilites which the collage provides

Faculty

my exprience at trident academy of technology (TAT) in bhubaneswar, particularly with the computer science departement provide a mixed but ultimately valuable perspective on the interaction between faculty and students. while there were variation across different proffesors, certain trends emarged that shaped the overall learning environment in general, i found the feculty at trident to be reasonably approachable. most professor maintain an open-door policy during their office hours, encouraging students to seek clarification on discuss academic concerns. (like if certain projet u are doing and u r facing some problem then they helps us a lots also regarding academy asst. professor pralipta mam) was always willing to extends office hours if needed on the other hand some faculty members maintain more formal distance. while the were always willing to answer questions related to course material overall Assessment: the teacher - student relationships at TAT were generally positive, with most faculty member being reasonably approachable and willing to help student however, there was room for improvement in terms of teaching methods, faculty development, and mentorship opportunities. A greater emphasis on intractive learning, technology intergration and personalized guidance significantly enhance the overall learning exprience exam structure: >>class test/quizzes: frequient short test to check understandig of recent topic >>assignment : problem sets , coding excercises or written reports to apply learned concepts. >> mid sem exam : more comprehensive exams covering roughly half the semesters syllabus. >> end sem exam : these are the major exams conducted at the end of the each semester , covering the entire syllabus. this exams carry significants weightage in final grade. >> practical exam/lab evaluation : for lab - based course , there will be practicle exam or continuous evalutions of the work and reports. to get more information visit collage website

Night Life

5

Nightlife around TAT likely revolves around casual hangouts in infocity's cafes/eateries and nearby malls rather than intense clubbing.students unwind with sports, clubs acticities and socilalizing. hostel common ares are key hangout spots. specific timings for facilities (library & etc.) and campus / hostel curfew would very. safety in the locality is generally okey, but usual precautions are advised.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
