Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is considerably at par with university. There is significant relevance in the topics as well as the teaching. The curriculum should be able to repair an individual to be able to give further examinations. The teaching method due by the teachers is fairly modern. There is ample use of PPT, videos and other electronic medium. Some professors also provide type notes available online as well as off-line. However, based on preference, some professors would use the traditional whiteboard marker method. there could be dynamics in the PPTs which could be improved to make it more pleasing. As mentioned earlier, there are two examinations typically happening somewhat in the October November and the other one happening in the March April period. Thus, following the winter summer examination pattern. Timetable and schedules are provided around 15 to 20 days prior to the examination. Although the TY examinations are left, the mercy of the university. Difficulty is not as significant as cracking UPSC, a significant ordeal of study is required. They also exist subjects which require students to prepare presentations and present them in the class. The TY subjects require students to write research papers. Due help is provided by the pros for writing the research paper.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers only aided courses. Hence, the fees are reasonable and university standard. All the three years of my course, I did not pay anything exceeding ?10,000. But, there also exist a self financed department. The fees there, although reasonable is considerably more than added courses. In my current year, that is TTYBA, I paid around ?9000 in the first month of admission which regarded for all of the educational expenses, including tuition fees and examination fees. This also included fees such as library ID card. The college in the last year takes around ?250 as farewell fees. There also exist other kinds of facilities for reserved categories and government recognised scholarships, with their due procedure applied. I personally know people who have taken benefit of these scholarships. There also exist railway concessions of both second class and first class local trains. The woman folk get these passes for free for one month and a very affordable rates for three month passes. The college also organises an array of extra curricular events at reasonable rates, these include fests, celebrations, balls, et cetera.

Campus Life

4

A very good college ample of facilities provided. There is a gym, girls, common room, and boys. Common room, a library, basketball courts, football ground, volleyball court. You can also access board games suggest carrom board and table tennis. College also has a sports department that place at university level. There is coaching for volleyball and basketball. That happens in the college. Although, one can self coach for other sports and apply to play at university level. There are lot of student departments which are by students. For example, MUN, student cells, and other subjects departments.

Admission

I applied for a variety of College, including the KC College as well as the Ruia College. I couldn't land there because of the shortage of percentage in my SSC exam. However, I did not plan changing my college in the degree, because I was already comfortable in this. College has significant prose as compared to other colleges in the area. Although although the college might see less in physical space, compared to the Rizvi college, it fulfil this negative with the quality of staff and crowd. The college admission basically takes place through the centralised administration process of the Maharashtra board. The degree college admissions happened with CET and other admission examinations. There also exist a management quota where one can be admitted through donations. There is ample of seat available in various courses.

Faculty

4

the college is well equipped with adequate staff, be it peons, teachers or other supporting staff. The course is followed as per the university pattern. Examination are conducted by the university. Grading is done as per universities circular. Spacious rooms for examination. Strict environment with minimum to no chances of copying. I like the faculty of arts as well as the faculty of IT. The reason to like is a) I am an arts, student, and b) I like the vice principal of self finance course. There are two examinations in the degree College, which are the summer and winter examinations. Significant number of students manage to pass the exam. Although there are visible numbers of student, failing exam. examinations are as per the difficulty set by university. The curriculum shaped by the university of Mumbai truly lacks a bit of relevance. Although teachers manage to cover up the lacking while explanation.

Night Life

4

The college is in peak Mumbai that is Bandra.there are a lot of gyms particularly high class gyms such as the UFC gym and gold gym. There are lot of cafes famous ones like Starbucks. A very famous and's Cafe, which is a student favourite for hangout. A lot of clubs, but those are all age restricted. Hostels are available one or two stations ahead of the College. Although there exist a women hostel in the vicinity, the campus timings are from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. The College is quite near from the sea areas like bandstand and Carter Road stop. The locality is quite safe to room at night as it is, a posh area with significant Police protection available at hand.

Other Applied Colleges

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
