Remarks
You will enjoy your four/five years of college here bcs campus is so beautiful that it is rated india's second most beautiful campus.The only negative point i faced is food here and lack of facilities in the city hamirpur.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we all know it is the era of computer. So we cam say CSE is an evergreen branch. Highest package are also grabbed by CSE students. Although govt jobs are negligilbe in CSE but in private sector there is great job opportunity. Exams are having good level.
Placement Experience
Placement is great for CSE and ECE almost 90% but in chemical placement is average i.e. below average. Average package for CSE is 9lpa but recently a student got package of 62lpa. So dont worry for placement.
College Events
Basically almost all festivals are celebrated here but due to its location on hilly area, hilly festivals are celebrated at more level. Due to pleasant climate here you will enjoy every festival and most of the time its raining here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is affordable.You will get option fee waiver i.e. st sc and gen/obc(having income less than 1lpa) students will get 100% fee refund and gen/obc stdents having income less than 8lpa will get 2/3rd fee refund.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes i am a student under fee waiver. Because i am a general category student and my family income is less than 8lpa so i got my all fee refunded. I didnt took any load bcs fee is not much high it is affordable for every student compared to some private colleges.
Campus Life
As a CSE student you will spend most of time in front of computer in lab if you are not having your own laptop. But i have my owm laptop so i spend my most time on playground. I always play badminton and table tennis.
Hostel Facilities
Since campus is india's second most beautiful campus, hostels are well built having all necessary facility. Wifi is enabled everywhere im the campus. There are 8 boys and 2 girls hostels. But one drawback is that mess food is average. You will not get chapati only rice in afternoon.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes as ragging process is completely removed from NITs so you can talk friendly with your seniors and they are helpful. You will learn more from your seniors than your teachers. I know many of my friends who are well settled.
Admission
First you have to secure a good rank atleat AIR 8K in JEE Mains and then through JoSAA counselling. If you want to get CSE branch then wait for final counselling round. Admissions are also done throgh CSAB coinselling but it depends on your luck.
Faculty
Faculty of my department are awesome. But i listened that chemical department have average faculty but it all depend on you how you study. Seniors are also helping and believe me you will learn more from your seniors than your teachers.
