Remarks

I was a student here beforehand, i.e., prior to BALLB, so the obvious predisposition. This was the only Entrance Test i gave. Coming to the eligibilty, all you need is 50 percent makrs in your Class 12 Boards with 25 years of Age Cap, as far as i know. Cutoff will vary for different centres, anything over 65+ will get you through the line. The admission process is totally online after you get selected, so it will take its course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum squarely alligns with the state judicial services, this is its biggest pro. However, if you are one who is a corporate directed you may not have your taste satisfied. Thats an area where some amends are needed. Exams are kind of piece of cake considering you are willing to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is all upto you until its the final year internship at supreme court, which is under the surveliance of the faculty, else its upto you to do or not. No such internship compulsion is there unlike nlus. However, with the recommendation of faculty you can easily secure an internship coupled with your efforts.

Placement Experience

3

Being a Non-NLU or any other fancy million bucks institute, the placement cell is the weakest of all the things. Few Companies do come like Vedanta and all, but all that would be a management work. So this is where you have to apply yourself with rigour, unless you are an aspirant of some sort.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is a yearly sum payable at the commencement of each academic year, it is approx 8000 for non-hostelers and 9200 for the hostelers, so that makes approx 1200 for the hostel charges. You will be getting various scholarships from state and central schemes. The fees remains the same for different categories irrespectively.

Campus Life

4

Various departments of the University do have their annual and other fests, but the law faculty doesnt have one apparently as such. But when it comes to books and other databases accessibility, don't worry you will get them all at one click through your university id. Most of the classrooms here have already been upgraded to smart-classrooms. You can join various Sports Clubs which the university provides in common with other Departments students.

Hostel Facilities

5

This is what I can say without doubt is value for money. 1000-1500 rupees is all you have to pay for a year, I can bet that its cheaper than most hotels daily charges. The meals, like the rooms, are also affordable, 3 meals a day for around 1600 a month. There wont be any electricity or other added charges which you would be required to pay later on.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio here is around 1:60. Which faculties are approachable and which are not is clearly subjective, answers will vary depending upon circumstances. However most of them are okayish, unless you do something conspicuous. History, evidence and constitution are some of the subjects where you will get the feeling of studying from bests. There are hell lot of exams to begin with, but dont worry they are trivial and easy to pass, one gets used to of it in a sem or 2

Night Life

4

the campus is splendid in itself, you will enjoy your stay here, it magnifies at night. Now there also happens to be the availability of various cafes and restaurants. There is no such timing restrictions for boys; for girls it various depending on summer and winter, but not after 6:30 pm on any day of the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
