- The main college fest is great to expand your network if you are a part of it.
- The infrastructure is great with spacious classrooms to accommodate maximum students
- There are multiple labs for different fields and courses with all the required equipments available
Dislikes
- There is setback in fests and events committees as there is politics among the students involved.
- There is a minor issue in infrastructure as some of the classrooms and benches are damaged
- The ground is not big enough for outdoor sports like football.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I like the management field and marketing sector. The college exams and practical are well designed for the students to gain knowledge of the real world scenario. Multiple Vivas and practicals and assignments help the students to decide what to do and when to do in their future job opportunities. The teaching method is very understandable as the notes are easy to grasp and learn as quick as possible.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't opted for any internships from the college as they offer internships in the last year and I'm currently in the second year. There's a minor setback in internships as good internships in BMS are only offered to finance students and not the marketing students.
Placement Experience
I don't know much about the placements. But there is a placement cell in the college. I've heard from the seniors that only the science and I.T. related degrees for eg. B.Tech get good placements and good companies come to offer jobs only to these degrees and not the other.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees varies every year as my first years fees was 30000 and my current second years fees is 320000. Third years fees must be around that amount as well. The college offers multiple scholarships if the student scores certain marks in particular subjects.
Campus Life
My campus life experience has been great as I've attended that main colleges fast DIMENSIONS multiple times and it is great. There are several departments to handle the fest which you can be a part of and expand your network. There are two big libraries with all the books required for studying before the exams and other books as well. Multiple sports activities are conducted throughout the year and the students who play particular sports can participate in the selections and represent their college in competitions. There is a famous Instagram page of the college named kelkarconfessions which posts anonymous confessions of the college students.
Admission
I applied to two different colleges which were Thane college near Thane station and NKT college. I chose this college over them because of the exposure that this college offers. Multiple fests and events and councils allow the students to interact with many other people and expand their network. I got selected for this college and got selected in NKT as well. The admission process was based on percentage cutoff which was 47% for arts background during my time of admission
Faculty
The teaching faculty is very friendly and helpful. They help with every minor problem of the students and they are ready to help all the time. I especially like the BMS faculty as I'm a student in this faculty and I liked all the teachers. The externals or semesters are conducted every 6 months between which internals are conducted.
Night Life
There is not a night life as the college closes around 6pm. But my favourite hangout spot is the college canteen which is very spacious and has many tables. It also has a great menu and one of the famous dishes is chilli rice which is every students favourite.
