Remarks

I had applied for several colleges but NMIMS was my first choice as it is one of the best colleges after the iim indore for my course. The faculty is highly qualified and helpful. The crowd is mixed, students come from all parts of India and abroad as well.there are numerous clubs and fests throughout The year to meri us eengaged, we also have 2 hours of extra curricular everyday before class. The navi mumbai campus is pretty big, they have sports facilities, canteens, hostel facilities and a library as well unlike the Mumbai campus. Overall I'm having a great experience the best part is the exposure since it's in Mumbai and the crowd. The only 2 cons I see are that the college isn't exactly in the city so traveling might be an issue for students coming grim Mumbai. Also the class timings for the 1st year are odd it's from 1:40-6 right in the middle of the day other than that It's a great college!

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I wanted to build a good base before doing my masters in sports management. Bba seemed to be the right course to take as marketing and business analytics interests me. The faculty is very helpful they're always available and eager to help. Each class has approximately 50-65 students. They're also very highly qualified, from IITs IIMs, big Corporate companies ex employees etc. Each term consists of 4 months after which we will have a term end exam, it isn't that tough if we have regular study habits.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides various internship opportunities from the first year itself. It is compulsory to intern with a NGO in the first year. You are free to do how many very internships you want to do the college encourages you. Companies like open house, dell, WeWork, Amazon etc provide internships. The projects you receive differs from year to year and course wise as well. In the end everyone has a good experience.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 3rd year students are eligible for placements. Most students opt for higher studies or other options. The placement cell is very helpful and patient. Most of the students who apply get placed. We also have summer internships and internships with NGOs which is a very good thing. The experience is amazing! Most students get placed in the consulting and marketing sector. Many well known companies vist campus all around the year. I plan on doing my masters in sports management. Before that I will be sitting for placements I plan on working for 1-2 years

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is a little on the expensive side due to the brand name and university qualifications. The fees for BBA and most other commerce courses is 3L per year. The college doesn't have any scholarship programs. Your entrance fees test marks or board marks only determine whether you get in no scholarships are provided. We have several clubs run by students themselves, from the selection of the team to execution of huge events, sponsorship, PR etc everything is done by the students, other than that there are no jobs on campus

Campus Life

4

We have one big fest hosted by our college usually in the month of Feb-march. This is our largest fest and many colleges come to campus to participate the fest goes on for 3-5 days. We have smart classrooms. Equipped with Smartboards, cctv, new beaches, ACs etc the learning experience is top notch. Everyday from 10-1 we have extra curriculars before class. NMIMS gives importance to extra curriculars and has made it compulsory. Sports is an integral part. We have dance clubs which is one of our most active club till date. We have more than 7 clubs on campus. From music, debate, fashion to dance, gaming, cultural, poetry. All the clubs conduct events all around the year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is very normal. The hostels aren't in the campus it's a walkable distance from the campus. NMIMS rents apartments and converts it into their hostels. 3 tones food with evening snacks is provided. The food is very average, the variety is questionable. The hostel registeration works on first come first serve basis. To book you'll have to go to their website and fill a form. The hostel is a little expensive for what they provide. I lived in a PG for a while. The locality is quite, a little away from the city. It is near a village, but essentials are available.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the course alone can't prepare you for real world applications. It's important to learn some skills before getting into job market. The course is pretty theory based and doesn't have a practical approach. The only skill thing that college helps with is public speaking through presentations. The teaching methods are also very much traditional type. So it's better to learn some extra skills and get experience, that can help you get your ideal job.
