Ggu and reality

The first year curriculum is not that much aligned to the degree ,however it is according to new education policy. There are two class tests per semester along with semester exams. Curriculum is quite updated .

The companies entering are mass recruiters only just for the sake of having a placement cell. The advice is to take tag of central university and go for off campus placements. Work upon the skills and go for it.

The students become eligible for placement from 4th year. The average package for BTech IT or CSE is about 6-8 lpa while the highest is 18 lpa. The average package for other degrees like BSc, Bed etc is 3 lpa.

There are various degrees provided here but for BTech degree , annual fee is about 40000. There is no categorywise fee concession. Merit cum scholarship is only 5000 rupees a year. The fees here is quite affordable but there are very few scholarship provided.

The fests are not much here.There is a very low social life . However there are various clubs present here. The library here is marvelous consisting of many books. The sports facilities are provided here .

Hostel facility is not provided to everyone as the degrees are too many . It is provided according to reservations and ranks. The meal is quite average and tbh quirky as they literally put weirdest things together.

The tag of central university was the win situation. I got it through jee mains as it is a gfti. For other courses cuet is acceptable and for engineering jee mains is considered. The general cutoff closing rank is 1,80,000.

The faculty here is not much impacting however there are some good and promising professors. There are literally many class tests . In each semester there are two class tests then semester exams . The difficulty level depends upon the subject . The curriculum aligns with new education policy.

The timings here are a big issue. For girls the hostel curfew timings are only 7 pm and 5pm on weekends which restricts us to join any sports or clubs . For the people living in flats or pg the campus in timing is 7 pm again( must be obsessed with 7;)) You will find waterfalls and scenic places starting at distance of 18 km and campus is literally lush green ,you can find snakes, komodo dragon, scorpions easily . The campus has one kaali maata mandir except which all you would see is hariyali;) There is no night life culture. You would feel suffocation and in girls hostel even the balconies are locked... cruelty to its peak. In terms of safety,the campus is very much on safer side for everyone and to the girls too.
