Course Curriculum Overview

3

As my course was CIVIL, it needed more practicality than theory This college did not prepare you for real world application and further academic pursuits Teaching method should be more towrads practical knowledge

Internships Opportunities

4

For civil our college offered two internships We had to select one I had selected unpaid internship with Kites Construction limited Was a good experience to learn real world work and opportunities It was for a month and later we had exam on that too and prepared reports on that also

Placement Experience

3

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement CSE n ISE and EnC branches have huge number of placement offers from companies like TCS INFOSYS ACCENTURE COGNIZANT etc Placements for Civil n mechanical branch are very less almost nill But faculty will help sharing some job updates in the group which one can refer and apply

Fees and Financial Aid

850000 per year of fee was charged for government seat and it was more for management seat like 3 lakh 6 lakh depending upon CET and ComedK score Category students paid 3500 per year or 50000 per year It is increasing every year by government Scholarship amount of 55000 available every year

Campus Life

3

Yeah evry year department fest and overall college fests are organised which is average Library has access to many books related to course and more The technology within classroom is average where have one projector thats it Sports is not encouraged much in this college No social groups or clubs

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel for the price is not worth Considering room 4 person in one room and have bunker beds and only 3 charging port No wifi Washing machine only 3 for entire hostel which is difficult to get Ventilation is good and food is good

Admission

I applied to 2 other colleges above my college which i unfortunately couldn't make to because of my ranking in CET I chose this college because of the reputation its main branch has created in my city The admission process was smooth Have to get cut off of 20k within in CET to get into this clg for all courses

Faculty

3

Faculty ratio for number of students is good . Some faculties are really cordial with students while some indulge in partiality Some faculties are approachable Internals were easy and the main exams are conducted by VTU so it doesn't depend on college Course curriculum should be made more relevant and practical

Night Life

3

Previously it was very bad But now it has improved a lot Night life around college is pretty good as it has many cafes time spending spots and good food chains like KFC dominos and CCD Hostel timings for girls is strict and boys has no timing restriction at all Locality safety for girls to roam is 5/10

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
