Course Curriculum Overview

2

As I love to learn about Coding and Computers,I chose Computer Science and Engineering. But the course curriculum when I joined is not relevant for further academic pursuits. But as the course curriculum for my juniors changed it will be relevant. The difficult level is not much . We can learn the portions We have 4 internal and 2 semester exams in a year.

Internships Opportunities

3

After my First Year,Our college provided an Internship in Zindot Technologies. They provided with internships on Web development and machine learning. I chose web development and the internship was held for 15 days.

Placement Experience

2

From semester 5 , Placement cell started and eligibility came. Many companies came but those were not Computer Science core companies. UST global came in which only 1 student got only placed. Rest somewhat 10 students got placed in Sutherland. I decided after my degree ,I want to enter to job.if possible I would like to try mba also.

Fees and Financial Aid

I entered my college by Management quota. The actual fee was : 10500/- I had a scholorship of : 30,000/- My fees when I joined college (including caution deposit, exam fee ) was : 70000/- My fees in my second year (including exam fee) was : 65500/- The following years my fees was : 60000/- These following years I had to pay exam registration fee separately which ranged between 2000-2500. As we are engineering college we have a small difference in fee structure of my batchmates of other department. But the batches after me had to pay full fees as they have no scholorships.

Campus Life

4

Our college provides programs or festivals like fresher's day ,Onam,Christmas , valentine's day,Sports day,Arts day , Industrial Visit, college day and this year we are having our cultural-Tech fest. We can access library during break time only and the books they provide are all engineering related only. We had clubs when we joined first year and I was in toastmasters club. We have NSS were the students enjoy camp. We have Smart board or projector. We have sports day and this year there were many tournaments like badminton, football etc.

Admission

I applied for rset, aisat, fisat, cusat, scms. I chose my college as I had no other option. As I studied in cbse, I faced many issues and difficulties during my admission. This was because my results came late.I entered my college because of keam exam and got a small scholorship.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio currently is average. My department faculties are all great and approachable. They are all friendly and kind. Every faculties in my department (Computer Science) till now are all great. They all are my favourite. We have 4 internal and 2 semester exams in a year. The exams are all okay if we learn properly we can earn good marks. In my class small ratio of students only fail comparing to other department. The course curriculum for me is not relevant but for my juniors it is relevant as they changed the syllabus.

Night Life

3

We have gym, turf, swimming pool, badminton court but build without permit. The hostel facilities provided are very poor. There are many favourite spots for students near our college . Some of them are Cafe de papaya, daily meat,Desi guppa, food o food, knh.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
