Course Curriculum Overview

4

• I got influenced with the course as its syllabus is the same as the Uttar Pradesh Judiciary and ither state Judicial service exams. •The curriculum is on the higher side and any person could easy go for litigation and corporate services. Also 16 students in total has cleared judiciary examination from the campus. •I believe with respect to curriculum and teaching methods, the campus is above expectation as the curriculum is of the best level possible and also the teachers are much engaging however there are only one or two teachers who need to be replaced. •As i stated earlier there are: a) 2 easy sessional paper of 10 mark each per semester per subject b) one 20 mark mid term and one 40 mark end sem. exam per semester and per subject which are of easy to moderate level. c) a 10 mark viva and a 10 mark project submission per semester and per subject which are easy to prepare.

Admission

I appeared for the CLAT examination for selection at top law colleges.Due to my low rank in CLAT, I was getting college with moderate reputation but with high fees, opted for this college as it provides with the same reputation as of Aligarh Muslim University and has a fees of only 7450 per year. •Majority of the government college other than NLUs are not worthy of their price as they have a higher course fees and lower return of investment for the same. •I applied for numerous private colleges as a safety measure and got admission in all of them. In my convince and price point it was the best possible college. •The person willing to get admission at this college has to must have 50% of marks or its equivalent C.G.P.A. in his 12 boards a) appear for the Aligarh Muslim University entrance examination for Law, for which a person needs to register once the forms are out( usually around febuary and march). b) In the application the person must opt for Murshidabad centre c) If the person secures a rank of 120 to 250 in the entrance examination he could get the admitted. d) the selected candidate are notified at www.amu.ac.in e) once the students name has been declared he just need to pay the fees online and to report at the campus with marksheet and other basic documents like transfer certificate, etc.

Faculty

4

•The student to teacher ratio at the college is 16, as there are around 380 college strength and around 25 teachers. Faculty relationship with faculties is much better as compared to other colleges as the faculties are much helpful and friendly and approachable for any doubt, problem or help. • I like Dr.Talib Siddiqui and Dr.Akhlaqul Azam as they are much knowledgeable and helpful as also because they both helps every student in their progress by providing the necessities for co curriculur activities and internships. •I don't like Dr. Masood Ahmad at all as because he though is knowledge but is least interested in teaching. •There are 36 exams in total, ever semester for six subject constituting 72 exams a year(subject changes every semester but in every semester their number is 6 in total), these exams are such that 2 are 10 mark sessional, project submission and viva of 10 mark each, a 20 mark mid term examination and a 40 mark end semester examination, these exams are at a moderate level and majority of students pass and rarely 1 or 2 evey year fails in total 5 batches of the college. The curriculum is same as the Uttar Pradesh Judiciary syllabus and is though lengthy but not tough.

Night Life

5

•The campus gym timing is from 6.30 pm to 10 pm for the students, the library is decent having equipment such as peck deck, lat pull down machine, preacher curl machine, dumbbells, barbells, etc, the gym is built just aside the cafeteria where the gym goers could have their post work meal, the cafeteria has a decent menu. • There no hostal timing for boys however the girls have their hostel timings and are allowed to go out only between 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. The campus in timming is from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm at night for day scholars and hostels are inside the campus. •There are limited night out places around the campus. There are two cafes at a distance of less than 1 km apart from this there a near by river which as great night vibe even there are boats available till 9.00 pm. Inside the campus there are spots made by the students for borne fires at winter nights and to barbeque or have group gatherings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
