Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was a zoology graduate and was confused of what doing next after that and for gaining fast placement i opt the microbiology course. Curriculum was preparing us for a vast knowledge in the subject. Even though i am a bsc zoology graduate i know more about microbiology because of the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships were not provided within the college. We found internships by our own and also faculties helped us to find better internships which was less paid. I worked in a NABL accredited laboratory for 1 month after the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I completed my course for 80000 per year. Caution fees is available during the end ofnthe course and it was around 650 rs. There was breakage fees during the course for laboratories based on how much laboratoru equipments were damaged per sem. E grant was available for students under categories.

Campus Life

4

I was a hosteller and was able to involve in each and every programme that was held. Artss day and college day were conducted. Special programmes for dance, music and other culturals were also held. Our college went for interzone competition. The college had a large infrastructure and nice ambience that could give us a cool environment to study. Leisure time are spent at the garden area which is noe renowating.

Hostel Facilities

5

I was in a private hostel which was near to the college. It was a bit of large cost when compared to the college hostel. The food was tasty and of variety throughout the week. Each room had separate bathrooms unlike the college hostel which was common for a floor.

Admission

I applied to many universities and attended many entrance exams and the selection procedure took time. So i was planning to relocate to bangalore for studies and my cousin recommended this college and comparing to other colleges it provide a thorough and a vast knowledge in our subject than other colleges.

Faculty

4

My department had 9 teachers and 3 lab assistants. The faculties were really friendly and they are very helpful in providing useful informations other than the subjects which could help for career growth. I almost liked each teacher that teached me. Each teacher provides sincere classes and try to give us more information on each topic they are going through. Exams were held each month and they were not that much hard to catch if we are uptodate. Sem exams were little hard to score if we are not uptodate.

Night Life

2

Our college had a canteen. College library is really appreciable that it have lots of books and a peaceful ambience for reading. I was in a private hostel and it provided curfews upto 6 o clock. College hostels was also good when coming to cleanliness and the food were prepared very tidely and was tasty. College hostel was affordable.

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
