Infrastructure is bit good but need improvement,

Outside of nit Silchar not good not developed,
If anything wants we should travel 7km for fresh food, items
Transportation is also too slow, and items cost is High

Course Curriculum Overview

I interested in technology and automation that's why I opt electronic. It should start more lab practices There is a good thing, in lab smart board is available. We should have less time to cover whole syllabus on time because many events held. We are busy in that events.

1- per semester fees should be paid by us. 2- In sc category their is zero tuition fee, caution fees around Rs.20000 ( institute and hostel caution fee), Development fee- Rs.3000, corpus fee- Rs.1000, student Aided Fund- Rs.1000,Alumni fee-1000, Misc.fee-Rs. 500, library fee- Rs.500, IT system fee- Rs. 1100, Transport facility -Rs.500, Medical facility- Rs.300, Examination fee-Rs. 1200. Campus Life

There is two festivals like culture fest and technosis. There is asia largest digital library so books are available. There is a cricket and football ground, tennis ground, badminton court, Gym these are available. There are 20 + clubs, society, group like nss, ncc , photographi clube, dance club, cricket club and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Only bed and cupboard are provided by the hostel rooms. Meal is not good. You should eat only for survive. In cs lab their is registration happens and then go to respected alloted hostel then hostel wardens verified and give room keys.

Admission

I chose this college because it's placement is around 90% comparison to other colleges like nit patna. I got seat in nit patna but I leave it because nit patna is too small in area and it is near by home, I want to go other state. I chose this place because their beauty is too much.

Faculty

Faculties around 500 Student around 4 to 5 thousand. But faculties are too helpful to us. I like one electrical lab sir name Nath sir There is 3 exams held in per semester First mid semester exam Second minor and lab exam Third end semester exam

Interview Experience

Artificial intelligence is prons or cons Nits or iits First you should qualify the jee mains then jossa councelling then in college you should verify your all documents.in admin or respected department buliding. From website analysis by himself and make a sheet

Night Life

Gym 5:30am opening time and 8 pm closing time Library 10am opening time and 5pm closing time Hostel timing morning 5am and in time is 9pm. There is indi lakes you should go for views Outside college their is town in 7 km.

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

I chose this college as NIT Silchar is an allrounder package, you want academics? Done! Fest? Done!! Every wing is awesome. From the very first being in my home state, it was the best college I can opt for after IIT Guwahati. I did got offers from other colleges government and semi, but NITS gave me my favourite branch and secured future. This college has a great placement records in PSUs for core branches and great IT sector companies for other branches. I took the Joint entrance examination for NIT and IIT. When i got around 94 percentile in jee i opted out for counselling and filled out my college prefrences. In the special round conducted by josaa at the end of general counselling i got NIT silchar Civil branch. The general cutoff for jee was 89 at that time. So i got there in NIT silchar on the date given to me by college for admission process. Basic documents were verified on the JOSAA website itself before the physcial reporting in college. i opted out for the fee relaxation as my family income is less than 1 lakh. i had to submit that income certificate. When i got into college i had to fill a form with my basic details and had to verify all the documents again physically there verified by college proffesor. I had to submit income certificate also for fee relaxation. Then all the documents were put together in my college file which had a registration number on it, thats my college id. then i registered for my hostel nd thats all...Read More
