College is good but not the best, It plays in a totally different league from NITs and IITs. For Academics it's best, for social life no comments and for exposure it is getting better day by day. In earlier days the college has its own brand name and tag, just like NITs and IITs but the glow got fade and fader. The course is poorly designed. The main focus is how to be the jack of all trades without being the master of even one course. There are many programming languages placed in course to learn, But without any practicality. Exam structure: 70 marks for Theory exam at end of each semester + 60 marks for Internal and External examination ( practicals) + 40 marks for Mid sems exams + 30 marks for other sessional works = 200 marks

Placement record is just wow. We have a gigantic alumni base and thus some of them shower mercy on us by landing here with their huge MNCs like Goldman Sachs,Asian Paints etc(total >90 companies). Yes our College provide summer internship opportunities, 5-6 in number, The internship stipend starts from 20k to 75k permonth for 2 months. Many super dream companies hire interns from our college.

Aayam: annual ( atleast we can fake it )( No aayam this year) cultural fest of college. Our college have many clubs, some of them are active but most of them are resting in peace. We got a director like hitler.

Huge alumni base, and by huge , I really mean huge. The college for founded in 1952 and since then around 65 batches of atleast 1000 students passed out from our college, adding to around 65000 GSitians.

Till 2013, admission to this institute at undergraduate level was done on the basis of MP-PET. Currently, the institute offers admission on the basis of student performance in Joint Entrance Examination At postgraduate level, the admissions are on the basis of GATE Admissions to the Master of Computer Applications course is done on the basis of MP-MCA examination Admission to the M.Sc. (Applied Sciences) courses are conducted at the department level Admission to the MBA courses is done by CMAT examination Our admission was on the basis of common merit list, made after qualifying Joint entrance examination -Mains. The institute is one of the best engineering institute of central India. Institute have 9 engineering branches and a Bachelor of pharmacy branch. Some of them are really good and experiencend but some amateurs on the name of temporary faculties are also there. Other departments like Electrical Engg, Civil Engg, Electronics and Tele communication Engg, Mechanical Engg etc have very good faculty base. Most of the teachers in these depts have permanent jobs hence payed well!.
