Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course outline really covers most aspects of the subject. Topics are covered in detail and professors even cover out of the syllabus topics that might be helpful for the real world application. Everything is taught in very easy and understandable manner. Videos are shown on youtube in the class to make the lectures interesting.

Internships Opportunities

3

All types of companies come here to offer internship opportunities via the placement cell. Research analyst, marketing intern, hr intern are some of the roles offered. Basically you'll have to work with excel for the hr role and maintain a list of employees and their details, send emails etc.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements from the third year. The highest package offered was 7 lakhs pa. Companies like Deloitte, icici bank etc come for placements. You have to have a cgpa of 3.5 and above for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

2020-21 200000 2021- 22 195000 2022-23 195000 It increases for every batch No scholarship is available for merit based students. Direct admission is also available but fees is higher for that. No reservations or categories other than this. Common entrance test is taken for all.

Campus Life

5

The main fest of this college is Vaayu. Many celebrities come . The social life is very happening. There is a book club, sports club, dance/singing/drama club, community services club etc. All clubs further are divided into various departs like marketing, events, digital communications etc.

Admission

There is an entrance exam that you need to give called Npat for all undergraduate degrees. The difficulty level is comparatively easier than chirst and symbiosis. No interviews are taken. I opted for this college because of location, it's faculty and course curriculum. It has tie ups for doing acca side by side too .

Faculty

4

Majority of the faculty is really nice. They are very helpful and understand mental health issues too you just have to approach them and let them know the issues you are facing. Some professors are really friendly and treat you like an adult and not students. They teach you more than what the course line has to offer which is really nice. Mid term and sem end exams are held for the majority of the subjects. Some subjects will have a research paper instead of the mid term exams. Some subjects in first and second year have a low pass rate like direct tax, cost accounting, management accounting so be extra attentive to those.

Night Life

4

Anand dosa is very famous hangout spot for nmims students. Also the chocolate haven, kgn momos, mc Donalds , chinese wok , all of them are walking distance from the college. There a local street market on irka road, also walking distance from the college. The college has its own library and study room. Juhu also is very near to the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
