I really like the infrastructure of the college
I also like the faculty of the college they are very nice
I like that the college planted many trees and flowers in the college

Dislikes

I don’t like the management of the college
Some teachers are not so helpful and supportive
And I also don’t like that in the college everywhere bike and car parked

Course Curriculum Overview

I have used electronics and communication engineering because I liked it and the placement of this course in my college is also good. I think the frequency and timing of Sam along with my perspective is not so difficult

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 235000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees of my course is 2,35,000 which we have to pay semester by semester. And the registration fee is 5000. The college don't charge any development or lab fees. My batchmate's yearly fees is 3,00,000 because he is in computer science

Campus Life

The college conduct many fest like they celebrate many festivals like Holi, Diwali etc. And also conduct dance and music fest in every summer and winter months. The availability of books in our library is very good. Our library is very big and air conditioned. Yes, they also provide Sports and extracurricular activities like football, badminton, cricket and many other sports

Admission

I applied for KIIT Bhubaneswar, But I didn't qualify for it and the fees of this college is also very high. I choose SOA University because the placement and the NIRF ranking of this college is very great and the fees was also affordable that's why I choose this college. The admission process of my college is to give its entrance exam called SAAT

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is great. The faculty are very supportive and helpful. I really like the faculty of computer science they are very chill and enjoyable. And I don't like the faculty of mechanical engineering. They are very strict. There are two exams every semester mid semester and end semester exam.

Night Life

My favourite hangout sport is badminton. I like to play Badminton. I play badminton with my friends at late night also. The classes timing is the Guddu. We have sometime in evening and we spend time together.

Placement Experience:

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

My first impression of the college I chose

I applied in vit chennai , lpu , kiit , and vit bhopal . I got confirmed admission from all the colleges but i chose this college as it was in my hometown and the rating and education background of the college was impressible. No i didnt get any rejection from any college i applied. The admission process includes online application which is free of cost.
