College of Engineering and management kolaghat, things to know before admission

Love for engineering and technology influenced me to join the curriculum The curriculum is 80%relevent to real world and provide good base for further academic. Teachers should explain full syllabus rather than teaching only those parts which are most asked in exams Exams are held every month and difficulty is moderate to difficult.

Student become eligible for placement after 6th semister 3 companies visited and 1 offer made Highest package of 5lpa and average package of 3lpa jobs of sales , design, web design are offered for core departments jobs of production etc. 70% students are placed My palns are M.tech

Tuition fee is 100000 and hostel fees of 70000 yearly College does no provide any scholarship Strict rules for fee payments they don't allow you for exams They even charge maintenance fees for college although nothing is done

Fest is held in month of April may the feats are not that special overhyped . Range of books are available but ther are majorly outdated and old lack of many books and many useless books are present which were in old curriculum Old outdated lab machines and equipment, many equipments are not present faculty are rude Sports is good tournaments are held every year and highly celebrated Social groups conduct blood camps and cleaning operation and spreading awareness

Bed , almirah and table are provided Light , fan are provided in the room Bad meal and menu no quantity of food and overpriced mess Hostel and mess are not affordable and one needs to register himself each year for hostel For PG one can consider kolaghat or mecheda

Didn't apply for any other college as marks in JEE were not that good and misinterpreted my college decisions scored well in wbjee but made wrong decision. College takes admission by wbjee and jee mains

Faculty to student ratio is good , faculty are good and experienced but most of the faculty are rude. Humanity faculty are really nice and good they teach well and polite to the students no matter what ever the year is. I don't like the chemistry department everyone is rude the lab assistant, HOD and professor none of the are good the teach nothing and always shout at the students . 5 exams are held they are moderate to difficult 40% students fail relevance of the curriculum is 80%.

Old outdated gym and gym equipments , no cafeteria, old and small library, no public area 1st year boys and girls have their hostel timings 9am to 6pm , seniors don't have and specific hostel timings College timings 9 to 5pm Minimarket , jheel college is highway facing not safe to roam at night after 9pm
