My experience at Government engineering college,palakkad

The course at this college give hands on experience for the students with many internships and helps the students grasp a basic idea about what the course is and how each work is done thanks to the teachers and other faculty members

The college provides good internship opportunities for students.it includes internships at different colleges and internships from top companies. These colleges include NITs, IITs etc. The internships are good

Placements are provided at the college but it's not that great since it is comparatively a new college so all the departments are not accredited so the company's which appear for the placements are average but since the ktu certificate is of high values outer pavements are easier.

The course fees in total is upto rs12000 per year. That is almost rs6000 per semester. There are scholarships for underprivileged student called egrantz where they pay the whole fees for the students that includes hostel fees is he has enrolled in the government hostel

The campus life is good. Uniforms are only needed for the first year. The rest of the year is just casual clothes. The college holds many cultural programs which include art festivals, sports events, festivals, music nights, dj parties,

There is a government mens hostel where almost 300 strident can be accommodated and a ladies government hostel where almost 400 students are accommodated. There are private PGs for students and rental houses are also available The location is a total area so outside food is very affordable

This college was chosen because the college was at a good location because the pollution and nose at the place is very low giving a very peaceful atmosphere. The eligibility exam is called KEAM. It is meant for keralites. After the examination a basic screening is done where the student can opt for 4 colleges and based on the rank of the student and the seat availability for the chosen course at the chosen college, the seats are alloted

The culled faculty for each department are well spoken and are good at what they do. There are 4 years(8 semesters) in total for btech students and 2 years(4 semesters) for mtech students. There are a total of almost 50 exams the students must enter for and the students must collect a total of 100 activity points to get the official certificate

We have to enter for a exam for admission in the college called KEAM. This is a written test where the test your skills at maths, physics, chemistry etc. After the exam results are published the student can opt for courses where they are allowed according to their ranks

The college life at this institution is average the college closed at 4.30 pm. The surroundings are very active at night time with government hostel and all ladies PGs closing at 10.00pm which ensure safety. There are PGs where curfews are not applied
