Faculty js good they know their subjects good
Campus is good with good infrastructure and good facilit

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good lots of internship opportunities lots of bootcamps and lots of online courses on coursera provided by University which i nit provided by a lot of other's universities

Internships Opportunities

Many internships in top companies are available in this college which is very good compared to other colleges nearby and that is one of the reason i have taken this college and others can also see this as a pro

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester it is easy to get internship the college placement is also good compred to colleges near by with similar fees bracket and college admission bracket which is very good for a college like this

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is 300000 rupees ,no scholarsip,no category it is 150000 rupees per semester out of which 130000 is tution fees rest 20000 is specialisation fees if you do cse core it is 130000 per semester and 260000 per year

Campus Life

College is very good have good infrastructure with own food courts and sports ground and courts plus computer labs and state of art libraries and swimmjng pools plus there are many social groups and clubs

Admission

My university had a better placement record so i came here the admission lrocess is quite easy just need 12th marks or jee mains marks and thw criteria is very easy basic criteria of 70 percen only for cse

Faculty

Marking scheme is ok exams are done almsot wvery week as these are sts then ete every saturday we bave exams the teachers are good they abve 1 yeacher for 1 subject for 2-3 classes of 80 students each which is little bad

Interview Experience

No no tests are required other than 12th marks and jee mains marks no interviews no group discussion no written tests or anything is reuired which makes admission a lot easier in this college which js a little bad

Night Life

The nightlife is good as we can spend tiem in sports arena and food square and parks it is a goid life there in night all the friends can sit together plus there afe jam in sessions which makes it much better

Usually from 3rd year you can sit for placement Dell , wipro , coding ninja . Coding ninja took 6 student , dell took 30 and wirpo took 600 It's around 50lpa and avg package would be around 5/6 lpa and the role was sde . 90% students get placed easily I'm planning for learning japanese and go for masters in japan

From 6th sem students actual placements critieria started . Elitmus etc. type of exams started but intership in big companies like microsoft , google come in 5 th sem. But they choose only 1 person . Many companies visited in this university with average package of 7-8 lakhs . Mostly 80% students get placed. Highest package till is 45 lakhs . If i get placed then ok going with them but if not places then i will go abroad

Everything you should know before taking admission in Thapar Institute of engineering and technology

Placement Experience:

This year final for final year students around hundred companies have already visited the campus and around 80 percent of the students have been placed. Highest package was around 55 lakhs per annum and lowest being around 5 lakhs per annum. The average package is around 10 lakhs per annum.Top recruiters being JPMC and Barclays among many others. Around 20 percent of the students got interned and the companies were JPMC, Barclays, Salesforce, Sprinkle, American Express and many others.The roles offered were Software Developer and Data analyst. It is advisable to keep the cgpa atleast above 7 to be able to sit in placements.

I have applied in lpu,chandigarh University and chitkara university, i got confirmation for admission from lpu but i choose chitkara over lpu because of the croud numbers of students intake in cse branch in lpu its approx 10,000 students but in chitkara its 3000 only that why i choose this over that.yes i got rejected from punjab university as i got less marks in jee mains.the admission process of chitkara university is very simple you call college admissions office they will assigned you one counselor then you can ask any questions about college in details then he will give you online admission form link fill it and send to him done simple...Read More
